Zhang Ju did not necessarily have a pleasant childhood. She was born and raised in Ta Lo, but the house of Zhang was different from others. Her family's abilities specialized in the element of nature. So, naturally she was trained with this special power by her father. Things were pleasant in the little village, but one fateful day when Ju was 14, a war broke out in her peaceful home.
The young girl was the only one to walk out alive from the Zhang family.
Her mother, her father, and her two older sisters (who were twins). All gone, because of that damn war. Ju later moved to America, and got her try at a normal American life. She still practiced with her abilities and her hand-to-hand combat skills, not wanting to lose what her had father taught her.
When Ju finished high school, she got a job at a hotel as part of the valet staff, where she met her best friend Katy Chen, and Katy's friend Shaun. The two became acquaintances, but not much more.
But then, a day on a bus made everything change.
