Opening my eyes to see the soft charcoal toned sheets of luzes bed I see luz at my feet, her nose shoved in an 'ela 2 ap' textbook as light orbs illuminate the room in a soft dim light. Gently nudging her with my shin she looks back at me, after throwing the textbook onto her backpack she crawls over to me and slips under the covers.
"Hey...sleep well?"
Pressing into her gently I nod as I mumble half gibberish, my eyelids threatening to close on me, she wraps her arms around me seeing my only form of communication is
'mumble-mumble-mumble-mumble'.
She rests her chin ontop my head and says quietly
"Thanks for scaring dean off...you've saved me..once again- my platnium knight"
I smile and mutter into the fabric of her dress shirt
"Anytime my wild girl... no need to thank me..."
But it came out a muffled mumbly amalgamation of
"Antyie may wyyalled guuurl.. now nee ddd to thankb me"
She chuckles quietly understanding my nonsense of an attempt at trying to say something, pressing her lips to my ear she whispers
"I love you"
I giggle a half awake mumble that makes me sound drunk, she pulls me closer I kinda squeal into her shirt and mutter a slow
"WEEE HEHEHE we're really close.."
I start dozing off tiredly- my brain not even working at this point despite it screaming asking me why I'm talking like a ditzy blonde- but shake myself awake and mumble extremely quiet
"Warm..."
Luz starts quietly laughing at me, her lips pressing to my forehead. I smile lovingly and grip the collar of her shirt in a half conscious tired manner, I grumble as she continues to laugh on
"What? You're being adorable.. I wouldn't mind keeping you up an extra three hours to see my mumbly bumbly bee"
My mind snaps back into place like a stretched rubber band, sitting up swiftly I blush so heavily at the new nickname luz looks up at me seeing my flustered look, her arms still wrapped around my waist she presses a kiss to my stomach to try and settle me down- but it only makes my face feel hotter. I whisper out a stutter half misunderstanding her intentions
"L-luz..please- your really close.. I really hadn't expected on going that step forward just yet-
Luzes face brightens to a cherry blush, she scoots up shyly and buries her face into my shirt.
"Expected just yet?...you've thought of it?"
Wrapping my arms around her I sigh seeing she's caught me in the train of thoughts and slight fantasies, I bury my face into her hair and mutter a short said
"Just a little bit..though it's normal for our age..right?"
I slowly realize that being seventeen is only a few months away and I realize that life won't get any easier... but with luz.. life feels easy-
"You're right.. it's so normal it keeps me awake sometimes..."
Luz replies quietly her arms wrapping further around me, I turn my head to the side slightly sucking in my lower lip to hide the fact I'm biting it. Turning back to her I cup her face in my hands my thumbs resting on her temples, she kinda crawls up to meet me our lips just three inches apart, her thumbs brush the sides of my neck.
"So... can we rehearse that azurate scene on chapter twenty seven of azura six...?"
She raises an eyebrow to me and says quietly pretty confused
