(Luzes POV)
Summer vacation came along and I'd never missed school more... It's a normal friday, Hermes is with eda and I'm here in my room with amity. Rubbing my face into her collarbone I mumble into the fabric of her shirt, chuckling softly she runs her fingers through my hair
"You seem preoccupied with something love.. tell me- what's on your mind?"
Smiling I look at her and say in a wondering kind of way
"How can we make a portal to naomi's dimension- if.. the diary only explains so little?"
The conversation about that particular matter has been going on for months and more recently the background on why naomi is here has unearthed

(Naomi's pov)
Looking around the room at mi mami and mama, then to mi abuelita odalia or I used to call her lia-lita in my younger days. An argument had spread between mi familia on both my A- B+ grades and relationship with the eldest bates-park daughter sam, why mi abuelita was so suddenly interested I don't know.. but now she's telling mama ami to break it off and get in an arranged engagement- ew.. I may be a pansexual but the boy she's trying to get me with is eighteen and I'm just barely fourteen.. forcing out a vicious growl from my throat I feel my cat ears stiffen into an aggravated position, mami luzes head jerks to me startled by my sudden anger
"you are utterly USELESS abuelita! Do you even understand how illegal that is?! I can make my OWN decisions, whether you like it, want to, OR BELIEVE IT ISN'T.. or NOT! The bates-park's are EASILY the best option for me, not some eighteen year old dude who has daddy issues and a ten billion dollar company.. I'm perfectly fine with my delt hand- but are you?.."
The whole room goes silent enough so to shut hooty up for once, abuelita odalia steps quickly up to me but mama ami goes to stop her
"Mom wai-"
"Be quiet amity blight! You need to teach your hellbent child a lesson- or I will.."
Calming down my nerves as quickly as I can I head to my room, someone grabs the back of my neck. Before I can turn around I'm being thrown through the portal into the human world, the portal shuts and locks behind me. Slamming my fists onto the door I yell out angrily but terrified
"LET ME IN ABUELITA POR FAVOR, POR FAVOR! MAMA please.. let me in.."
There is a loud fight erupting on the other side and mami luzes voice yells out panicked
"we'll get you out baby! You are a brave girl go to abuelita camilla's, tell her to inform abuelita eda. It's alright-"
Standing up I beeline through the woods to abuelita camilla's home still lit up but.. but not calling out eda's name.. a girl named vee?? Pounding on the door I jump when the door opens so fast
"Abuelita camilla, oh per dios! You need to tell eda-"
"Que? Abuelita?..lo siento sweetheart but I don't know who you are.. I thought you were mi hija luz.. but turns out she won't be able to be here to see her fifteenth birthday.."
