Vee sits down uncomfortably onto a armchair, maya sitting on the carpet in front of her. Waving my hand to the three I introduce them to her
"Vee this is willow, boscha, and gus- friends from my hexside days. And guys this is vee and her girlfriend maya"
Vee waves to them mustering up a quick 'hi' but maya looks excited at the new witches, gus looks around the room and groans. Chuckling at gus I tease
"Sorry you're the seventh wheel gus- you'll find them.."
He joins my chuckling and afterwards I clap my hands, gathering the attention of everyone I say excited
"Alright kids, pile into my car. were going to the fair!"
Maya and vee are the first two to the garage, holding open the door for amity, willow, boscha and gus I pick up our lettermans and hand mine to amity. Looking into the back seats I give gus a little seminar on how to buckle up before going into the driver's seat, pulling out of the driveway I head down the city road to the very dusty fairgrounds. Parking in a spot I count the money in my wallet trying to use my math, I end up mumbling to myself
"Alright- fifty times two is a hundred hundred times three is three hundred plus fifty is three fifty-"
Getting out of the car I smile at the bright flashing lights, looking at boscha who is extremely excited I feel the hair on the back of my neck rise. Managing to summon a simple cover illusion in the form of a colorful bandaid I face boscha towards me
"If you want to be in the reprise of the Salem witch trials I suggest you cooperate- close your third eye please"
Closing her third eye I place the illusion over her eye making what's underneath look like a scratch, she pats my back gratefully. Walking up to the stand I hand the woman behind the counter five hundred and say
"Six adults- one child."
Patting gus' head I say quietly when he goes to retaliate
"Fifteen over is the requirement to claim "adult" here gus... quite sadly? You're fourteen and I'm not teasing- read the board."
He studies the board then looks at me defeated, handing everyone the daypass wristband I take lead into the fair.
"Alright guys I'm giving you guys leeway to go do whatever you want- no magic- but first come here- because I'm so nice, I'm giving you all snack money..."
handing out everyone a fifty, I wave my hands out to let everyone go enjoy themselves I look confused at amity, resting my arm over her shoulder my left hand holding hers I ask quietly
"Nervous?.. do you need a body guard?"
She snickers slightly at my lovingly reassuring tone, leaning onto me she says in a flirty tone
"I might need to... you're a knight and I'm just a weak damsel to be in distress~"
Walking to the rides a smile on our faces I say shallowly under my breath,
"To be is correct- I think the guys here think we're friends.."
Amity immediately points at the fireball, my heart sinks into my stomach. Nervously nodding she drags me to the ride and gets into a spot right next to me, two boys sit in front of us the youngest as nervous as I am. Clenching amity's hand she suddenly realizes how scared of this ride I am, going upside down I squeeze my eyes closed trying to imagine myself flying on eda's staff. Shakily getting off the ride I feel her side hug me,
"Never.. again-"
I mumble nauseous as I look at her her eyes lovingly looking into mine, feeling disgusted as a thirty year old man walks up to us in a raggedy ass leather jacket
