38. the house in the woods..

two years later

God time flies by.. I keep on remembering the days before I got all this, despite it being awful.. it was great. and now I'm twenty two with a toddler and a beautiful nine year old- who is at school, and.. a soon to be absolutely stunning wife. vee and maya had moved into their condo and.. surprise surprise maya is two months pregnant with twins! I'm so excited!! but because the babies are half basilisk vee has to "infuse" magic into maya's food to keep them and her healthy. watching alex run around the room in just a shirt and diaper I giggle, snatching her up I blow raspberries onto her neck. squealing loudly she begins to hit my head giggling

"MAMI nooo!!"

hugging her close I smile, leaning against me she smiles softly.

" I can't wait for you to enter the baby class tomorrow.. you'll be an amazing witch.."

lifting her up I pick up the pants haphazardly laid on the floor, helping her into the pants a knock hits the front door.

"ah.. just on time- now who must that be?"

letting her run to the door she goes on her tippy toes to open it, being swiftly picked up by boscha she laughs. Willow walks in with Charlie who seems to be at the end of a tantrum, setting the two toddlers on the ground charlie hugs alex tightly. being limited to speech still alex pulls away and rests her hand on charlie's cheek, her eyes full of worry. shaking her head no charlie says quietly,

"I'm fine.."

they both go into the living room to go play. leading them into the kitchen Willow looks around as I pour them coffee

"where's.. amity?"

smiling gently I say handing them the two mugs

"she's at work at the moment, she works at the library and with the way she loves kids.. it was inevitable."

they raise an eyebrow to me, sipping my coffee I smile and think about how I'll greet her todαy. crossing her arms Willow looks at me for some reason angry

"I have a job too willow- I'm a riot officer you know- diffuse and protect.. it's my day off"

picking up alex when she runs up to me I smile

"can we go to grandma's??"

looking at Willow a moment she nods, nodding to her I say very carefully.

"be VERY careful alex.. it's two thirty now so only cross the street when taller kids are crossing."

she nods gently.. she may be tall for her age.. but she's not that tall. walking out the door with charlie I whistle for my staff, twisting off the sphere I say cautious

"make sure they're safe... I will personally send you to belos as wine if they get hurt"

the round cerulean sphere shivers and is out the door in a second, patting the back of my staff it flies up the stairs. boscha chuckles slightly knowing how serious I am- checking my watch half an hour later I sigh gently

"amity will be here soon"

holding up my hand I hold up a finger each second until three hits, pointing at the door I hear the door open. embracing amity as soon as she walks in I smile
