Chapter 6: Family Is Everything

Athena Rodriguez

When I walk into the house to walk upstairs I hear Hades start to bark at the noise, I finally shut him up but when I walk into my room. I find my aunt sitting on my bed staring at me.

"Why did I just see Jake fucking Ramirez Drop you off here AND kiss you?!" Aunt Bella ask trying not to freak out

"Aunt Bella, I- I look Jake came over last night after you and mom went inside, so me and him went to go get ice cream. And after Ice cream we talked a lot and me and him ended up sleeping in his car last night. When we woke up this morning it was like 5 and we didn't want to caught so Jake drove me back home, while he was driving we talked about Daddy and then I told him about that thing that happened when I was 16. After a while of talking he dropped me off here and then he kissed me. And I don't know what he's doing now he told me he had to take care of something but I don't know." I respond to my Aunt out of breath

"You're not in trouble I'm just surprised, you know I want you and Jake Together, and I won't tell your mom. You're Welcome " My aunt says while laughing and smiling

"Thank you Aunt Bella." I thank her while laying down in my bed

"Mhm go to bed and I'll deal with your mom, and remember you have to pack today. we leave tomorrow" My aunt reminds me while getting up and leaving

"Oh and hey, you should try things with Jake, he's a Good kid he'll be good for you." She says while walking out

Maybe I should try things with Jake, hes really good to me hes amazing with my family and we grew up together its not like I just met him. I don't know though
All of my shit he would have to deal with he would run away 5 minutes into dating me.

I wonder what he's doing so early in the Morning

While arguing with myself about Jake I finally fall asleep to the music in my earbuds.

While I pull out of her driveway my head was all over the place, I was so mad that her dad had did that do her and her mom.

I was so mad all I wanted to do was put a bullet between his eye. I kinda understood her feelings about her dad because mine left right after my little brother was born. I don't even know his name and I don't want to. But her father did way worse then what my dad ever did, her dad put his hands on her. More than once

The anger going through me was insane

While I'm driving to my office I call my best friend

"Mason I need you to track someone down for me." I demand

"Alright I can do that for you boss, Who is it?" Mason asks

"His Name is Diego Rodriguez, Tell Anthony about this too" I reply while griping my steering wheel tighter

"Alright no problem boss, may I ask why you need us tracking this man?" Mason ask's

"He messed with the wrong family that's why." I respond while hanging up the phone

Mason and Anthony are my best friends and there the two people I trust most so that's why I trust them with the business when I'm not around. The four of us used to be inseparable, Me, Mason, Anthony, and Athena were like the bestes of friends

My family as no idea that I started a life of crime. And I want it to stay that way.

Being a 19 year old Mafia leader is hard but I get to do what ever the fuck I want to.

When I pull up to my office I get out of my BMW and walk inside

"Mason did you find him yet?" I ask Mason while I pull my chair out and sit down

"Yeah we found him in Florida" Mason yells out

"In where?" I question

"Florida" Mason repeats

"Well did you find any info on him?" I ask

"Yeah I did, I found out that he has a family, 3 kids and a wife. They live in a nice house and they live like 20 minuets from he beach" Mason responds while sitting at his desk right next to me

I slam my fist on my desk

"Hey boss calm down, tell me what the fuck's wrong?" Mason ask's

That dick really just up and left

"That asshole Diego, he has a daughter here that he left. He left his daughter to go start a whole new ass family. That mother Fucker!!" I yell, "His daughter went through so much after he left, he put her though so much. He Put His Goddamn Hands on her! He left to start a new family, he already has a fucking family here. Here in this city, the city of Las Begas. he already has one"

"Jake, Can I ask you why your so mad at this man?" Mason ask's

"He hurt the girl I love most, he hurt her family. Diego Rodriguez is Athena Rodriguez's Father."

Mason know's how much Athena means to me even after we stopped talking.

Mason and Anthony would always have to hear me talk about her while we were growing up.

Me Mason, Anthony and Athena Grew up together.

"He hurt Athena?! Thats Athena's dad? The Athena that stopped talking to us out of no where?" Mason ask's.

Mason is probably just as anger as I am

I nod my head and sit right back in my seat

"Yeah That Athena, she just told me last night. She didn't stop talking to us for no reason. She  stopped talking to us because her father left"

"No Jake we cant just kill him, we have to put him through pain. He can't just do something like that and believe that karma isn't gonna bite him in the ass." Reply's

" Yeah, yeah I like that plan." I respond

While me and Mason are talking Anthony walks through the door

"I'm so sorry Jake, trafficked sucked." He sits in his chair

"So what did i miss?" he asks

"Remember Athena Rodriguez?" Mason ask's

Anthony nods  "Yeah the girl Jake would never stop talking about and the girl who stopped talking to us at the age of 14?"

I roll my eyes at his comment

"Yeah her, her dad did some fucked up shit to her and her family so were planning on what to do with that asshole." Mason laughs

"No, ya'll better be planning on killing him because he messed with the wrong people." Anthony grabs his knife from his pocket and starts playing with it.

"Yeah I plan on torturing him until he begs me to kill him" I reply's while laughing

"But I don't know what I'm gonna say to Athena, when I tell her that her dad left her to start a new family shes gonna break into a million pieces."
