Imani Pov

I woke up to an annoying beeping sound. A slowly opened my eyes and looked around, I was in a hospital and Khalani was sleeping on a chair next to me holding me hand. I shook my hand and Khalani woke up and she looked at me. She started crying and smiling.

"Imani, your awake, we thought we lost you".

"Did you miss me", I said with a smirk on my face.

"I'll fucking kill you if you scare me life that again you punk", she said, still crying and smiling at the same time.

She ran to the door of the room and scram as loud as she could telling everyone that I am awake.

"SHE'S AWAKE!!".

Naomi, Kane, Jin and Jay came running in the room, Naomi gave me a big hug and started crying on my shoulder. 

"You're alive," Naomi says.

"No I'm not this is an illusion", I said.

"Bitch I'll fucking kill you if you ever do this again". Naomi says.

"You're to soft for such", I replied.

"Says who?".

"Me now, get off of me".

"Gwaenchanh euseyo", Kane asks.

"Si", I said to Kane who has a worried but relived look on his face. I don't know what was up with me and Kane with the language thing, but I liked it. I knew he couldn't say shit that I didn't understand. 

"Well I'm glad you're ok but I feel hella dizzy", Khalani says before passing out. I wanted to get up and rush to her but I was stopped by 2 extremely strong hands gently pushing me back onto the bed.

"You haven't fully recovered, you need to rest". Kane says with a serious but gentle tone. Wow, never thought a Mafia boss would care about what I was going through.

"Yeah but Khala-", I was cut off by Kane.

"No the doctors will handle it and Jin is with her, you should rest".

"Fine", I replied but I couldn't stop myself from worrying about Khalani.

Jin picked her up and put her on the bed next to me as Naomi ran out to go and find a doctor to attend to Khalani. 2 doctors rushed in and checked on Khalani, they said she would be fine she just needed some rest and nutrients. One of the doctors walked towards me and checked how I was doing and apparently I've been passed out for two days.

"I just noticed something after so many years", Naomi speaks out. I'm going to be brutally honest, right now I don't wanna hear what she has to say.

"Khalani and Imani have the same surname, and why is it that every time one of y'all gets sick, the other one either hurts themselves or gets sick". What!! I have the surname as Khalani? I didn't know that, Khalani barely speaks about her family or her life what so ever. I don't think I've ever seen her parents nor her brothers.

Naomi once tried asking Khalani about her family but she quickly dismissed her and changed the topic. She only mentioned that she has two older brothers, but that's it. Now that I think about it Khalani is also quite a private person just like me, Naomi on the other hand, well we all know how she is.

"Really, Khalani your last name is Abbas", I asked her and she nods her head weakly. 

"Coincidence don't you think", Kane says. I look at him but don't pay attention to his words, instead I look at Khalani and give her a smile.

"Abbas, why does that sound familiar?" Jin questions us but we ignore him.

After two more days, Khalani and I were discharged and, Jin and Kane forced us to go back to their mansion, somehow they were capable to convince us to stay there since Lin was still looking for us and I hadn't fully recovered. I was happy when the doctor told me that I had to rest for two weeks and no physical activities.

Even though she did say I must do some stretches, I'm still glad that I don't have to wake up every morning for Kane's exercise routine. We got in the car and drove to Kane's mansion. Thankfully we arrived safely and no one was following us. I unbuckled my seatbelt and reached for the door, but Kane was already on my side. He opened the door and helped me out.   

We walked through the front door with Kane still holding me, to make sure I don't fall over. We enter the living room and Kane helps me sit down on the couch. Kane's gets a phone call and leaves with Jin and Jay following him. I sigh as I myself deeper into the couch and relax my back.
