The first time I met you
I never thought
I would love you this much

I reached my parents house and I'm so nervous, I don't even know who the hell my mother will Invite to my wedding but I am praying to god that it's not a lot of people. I get easily annoyed when I'm surrounded by a lot of people.

I walked in the house and greeted my siblings, Amari had a very sus look on his face so I knew something was up.

"What?" I asked him.

"Nothing little sis", he responded.

"Then why that face?" he lifted his brow in confusion.

"I don't understand".

"Your face, why would you make that face, it makes it look like your hiding something".

"What would I be hiding?"

"I don't know, that's why I ask", I stared at him.

"I'm not hiding anything".

"Whatever, I have a lot of work to do, you know where mama is?"

"She's in the library".

"Thanks", I replied making my way to the library. I reached the large brown door to the library and knocked on it twice before entering.

"Mama", I called out.

"In here", her soft, delicate voice echoed from the second row of stacked book shelves. I calmly walked to her and found her peacefully sitting on the red couch reading a book and drinking freshly squeezed orange juice.

"Hello my little pesca", she said, carefully placing her book on the side and tapping the space next to her, indicating that I should sit.

"Hello mama, how are you?"

"I'm wonderful now that I see me precious pesca next to me". Her statement instantly brought a smile to my face.

"So mama, I wanted to talk to you about the guest list for my wedding. I don't really know our family members, so I was wondering if you could help me write the list".

"Absolutely, I would love to".

"But mama can we keep it small, you know I get easily annoyed when surrounded by many people".

"As you wish pesca", as she said, she kissed my forehead and pulled me into a side hug. We sat there for hours discussing the list and other things like the decor and what I wanted the braids maids to wear. Mama agreed that she would come with me for the dress fitting.

After a long talk with mama, she suggested that I stayed over for dinner, but I politely declined, I can't leave Kane all alone, he would give me an earful on how worried he was.
*************
The main gate opened and I sped up the driveway, like I always do. I parked the car in front of the house and made my way into the house, but something felt wrong. The house was awfully silent and dark, the silence sent shivers down my spine, something was definitely off.

One thing I learnt from Kane's tough training was to never let my guard down, so I was definitely not taking the risk. I walked back to the car and grabbed my pistol, loaded it and slowly walked back into the house, silently and carefully with a firm grip on the firearm in my hand.

Once I searched the downstairs area, I slowly made my way up the stairs. I looked to the right then to the left, the hallway was empty. One by one I checked the rooms, until I got to our room. I walked to the door slowly and leaned on the door to hear if there was anyone inside before I could open.

Once I was sure that there were no noises, I put my hand on the doorknob and slowly opened the door. I took a few steps in the room, then the next thing I know, I was pulled into someone's chest and they had a firm grip on my neck and my arm which was holding the pistol.

I stepped on their toe as hard as I could, making the persons grip loosen around my arm and neck. I used that to my advantage and flipped the person over my shoulder and onto the floor, pinning them to the ground and pointing my gun at them.

"Ahh", the person groaned. This was a very familiar groan.

"Kane".

"Well danm amore, that really hurt", I quickly got off him and helped him up.
