Chapter 100

Time skip

My parents and grandparents were so happy when they found out that I was pregnant. Kane had been spending more time at home taking care of me. He was very gentle and patient but I felt bad for him because my hormones were driving him crazy. Let's not even speak about my weird cravings. The other day I had him up at 1am in the morning just to get me olives. 

We were sleeping when I felt like going to the bathroom to take a piss. Kane was knocked out, so I let him sleep and I helped myself get up and walk to the bathroom. He probably might get pissed that I stood up without his help, but I couldn't hold it. I opened the bathroom door and carefully walked in. That's when I felt a warm liquid on my legs, I thought I had pissed myself but when I looked at the floor it was blood. 

"Ohh no. No no no", I was panicking, our baby.

"Kane!!" I screamed out in pain and fear. God please protect my baby. Kane came rushing into the bathroom after hearing me scream.

"Baby what's-", he looked down and then back to my crying eyes. He quickly picked me up and rushed out of the room. 

"Jin, Jay!!!" Kane screamed with me still in his arms. Everyone including my sister came rushing downstairs, fear in their eyes when the saw the blood drip out of me and onto the floor. Kane put me in the car and rushed to the hospital, I started loosing conscious and the pain coming from my stomach was unbearable. He is not due till next month. 

"Baby stay with me ok", Kane spoke, I could tell he was very scared.

"We're almost there, hold on for me ok", he grabbed my hand and kissed it. I scram in pain, only making Kane freak out even more.

"Breath baby, breathe", he said, trying to calm me down. I was slowly blacking out, the car stopped and everything became blurry. Sounds were starting to fade away. Kane carried me out of the car and I could hear him shout out for help. Doctors came rushing to us and placed me on the bed and rolled me to the surgery room, Kane held my hand as they rushed me to an emergency surgery. 

"I love you, Kane save our baby", I whispered before everything went black.

"NO IMANI!!" was the last thing I heard coming from Kane.

Kane Pov

What is going on!!? I scram at the doctors, tears streaming down my face as the doctors stopped me from getting into the room. 

"Sir you have to calm down", they said, that's when Jin and Jay pulled me away from the doctors and pinned me to the ground. I can't loose her, she's everything I have, I live for her. Imani, come back to me. My grandmother and Imani's mother rushed into the hospital and started hugging me, I cried out in their hands. 

I was crying because of fear, no one told us what was going on. There's nothing more painful than not knowing weather the love of your life is ok or not. I had finally calmed down, Mrs. Abbas was like a mother to me, these past months she's been showing me love and she's been caring. After a few hours two doctors came rushing out with two babies. Twins.

"We have to save her, we're loosing her" another doctor shouted from inside the room. The doors closed again and another doctor came to explain to us what is going on. 

"Mr. Kim, your wife gave birth to two healthy baby boys, but she is facing a lot of blood loss from her past injuries. Her tissue has become weak and is tearing, causing excessive bleeding. We're trying our best to stop the bleeding but for now all you can do is wait", the doctor said and I felt my heart break into a million pieces.

"Will she make it?" I asked. Everyone was silent.

"With the amount of blood she's lost, the chances of her surviving are very low", the doctor replied.

"All I can ask from you is that you don't loose hope. If you want to see you baby boys please follow me", she said and we walked over to the boys.

"They have their mothers eyes", I said and tears began to slowly fall from my eyes.

"Can you come this side to fill in their birth certificates?" we walked over to another room and I wrote down their names.

"Kim Min-Jun and Kim Ji-Hoon, those are beautiful names", Mrs. Abbas said, rubbing my back to calm me down. Imani named Min-Jun and I named Jin-Hoon. I didn't even know if she wanted to give them second names.

"Thank you, Imani came up with Min-Jun. Please don't make it permanent yet, I don't know if Imani wants to give them second names yet. Can I hold them?" I asked, feeling very sad that Imani isn't with me right now.

"Sure, come with me", the doctor said. 

"I'll go check on Imani", Khalani says. everyone followed her except my grandmother and Imani's mother. They stayed with me whilst I held me sons in my arms. Their eyes looked so much like their mothers, their beauty was beautiful but it hurt so much. 

"They are so alike, I can't tell the difference", my grandmother said.

"They have their fathers nose and their mothers eyes", Mrs. Abbas said. They looked so peaceful it made me smile.

"Don't worry, she'll be ok", my grandma reassured me.

"Have faith", Mrs. Abbas said. I smiled at them and continued rocking my sons in my hands.
