TW/CW: hints at internalized homophobia

THE DIRT TUNNELS SEEMED TO TURN TO STONE AROUND THEM. They wound around and split off and basically tried to confuse the demigods, it was working, but thankfully they had Rachel to help guide them. Percy told her they needed to get back to New York and Rachel didn't seem to even pause in her step when the tunnels offered a choice. Angel couldn't deny that he was sort of impressed by the mortal girl.

Angel walked behind Nico in a nice comfortable silence. Their hands brushed every few steps, but neither of the boys made any move to move away nor made any move to intertwine their hands. Percy walked on the other side of Nico, unaware of what was going on, though slowly growing uncomfortable with the silence between the three.

"Thanks for coming after us," Percy spoke, directing it towards Nico more so than Angel.

Angel blinked, zoning back in as he glanced towards Nico, watching the way his eyes seemed to narrow and his once relaxed hand balled into a fist as he practically pushed himself into Angel's side. Angel didn't mind as he causally tossed an arm around Nico's shoulder, watching Percy with careful eyes. "I owed you for the ranch, Percy. Plus... I wanted to see Daedalus for myself. Minos was right, in a way. Daedalus should die. Nobody should be able to avoid death that long. It's not natural."
