Angel watched them from under Percy's arm with blank, bloodshot eyes as they did so. One of them looked towards him and even though she didn't speak a word to him, he felt his life flash before his eyes.
Suddenly he seemed to be a year or so older standing in the middle of a ruined temple with what seemed to be a God before him. Nico was at his side, tears in his eyes as he clenched Angel's hand, crying out a confession that Angel couldn't understand as he spotted a blonde boy near them.
Then he was suddenly in the middle of camp Half-Blood Nico standing before him as he was smiling so brightly Angel almost smiled along with him. Nico was holding both of his hands as he spoke words to him that Angel couldn't understand but he seemed to like it as he smiled brightly, nodding along with Nico as he began to lead them to the top of the hill where it seemed that a familiar blond was waiting for them at the top with a bright smile painting his lips as he tossed his arm around the two of them.
