Verse: Final

93 8 4

"In the end, which future is the right one for us?
The heavens had no reply.
Or perhaps it was dumb, foolish me, who just couldn't figure it out."

My hand finally stops, limbs crashing down as I stare at my disheveled letters, the paper crumpled as my pen flies astray.

The studio was quiet, and I was unable to comprehend the ring still idle on my desk, or the tears that have escaped from my eyes. The polaroid situated on the shelf's has fallen down, and I take the lyrics into my hands.

The evening comes as a welcome lull, as it casts her dusky gown outside, when the air becomes fresh and restful. Yet, despite how calming everything was supposed to be, my hands where shaking.

"I wrote it." The words come out raspy, not even a whisper as something warm cascades again down my face.

"All the love it took, was for me to lose you."
