~Chapter 18~

Tony set Hadley down as they entered the ship

"Woah.." she mumbled, pressing a button to reveal her face as she looked around in awe

Tony did the same, looking at her "What?"

"All my studies... All my research... I never imagined I be able to see it... From here.." her eyes focused on the large window in front of them where space was zooming by

Tony smiled and nodded before looking around

"Come on... Let's find Strange" he said, taking her hand

She nodded and let him lead her through the ship, the two looking around as they did

After a few minutes of exploring, they heard voices

They approached a platform above the main chamber where they saw below them, Dr. Strange tied up and surrounded by sharp crystals that pressed into his skin. The Squidward creature was speaking to him

"In all the time I've served Thanos, I've never failed him." He said, "If I were to reach our rendezvous on Titan with the Time Stone still attatched to your vaguely irritating person, there would be...judgement. Give me... the stone."

The crystals pressed further into Strange's face as he spoke

Tony and Hadley watched quietly before Hadley heard a small clank as Strange's cloak tapped on Tony's shoulder. Both immediately went on the defensive until they saw it was just the cloak

Tony sighed "Wow you're a seriously loyal piece of outerwear, aren't you?" He mumbled, rolling his eyes

A familiar and very unwelcome voice from above them drew both of their attention

"Yeah, uh, speaking of loyalty..." Peter said as he lowered himself down, upside down

Tony and Hadley turned to look at him in shock

"What the fu-" Tony started

Peter interrupted "I know what you're gonna say." He said quickly

"You should not be here." Tony said sternly

"I was gonna go home-" Peter started

Tony scoffed "I don't wanna hear it."

Peter kept speaking "But it was such a long way down and I just thought about you on the way-"

Tony scoffed, looking at Hadley in annoyance "And now I gotta hear it." (Which- btw I say that all the time now lmao)

"And I kinda stuck to the side of the ship." Peter continued, "And this suit is ridiculously intuitive by the way-"

"Dammit" Tony mumbled

"So if anything, it's kinda your fault that I'm here" Peter said before immediately panicking as Tony, Hadley, and Strange's cloak looked at him in shock

"What did you just say?" Tony snapped

Peter panicked "I take that back. And now I'm here in space."

"Yeah." Tony scoffed, walking closer to him, "Right where I don't want you to be. This isn't Coney Island. This isn't a field trip. It's one-way ticket. You hear me? Don't pretend like you thought this through. You could not have possibly thought this through-"

Peter interrupted "No. I did think this through."

"You could not have possibly thought this through-" Tony repeated

Hadley shook her head quietly and looked over at the cloak as she listened to the two argue. The cloak shook it's collar in response

"It's just- You can't be a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man when there's no neighborhood..." Peter said then he paused, "Okay. That didn't really make any sense, but you know what I'm trying to say..."

Tony stared at him for a moment then sighed "Come on. We got a situation." He led him over to the edge of the platform and pointed down at Strange, "See him down there? He's in trouble. What's your plan? Go."

Peter stared down for a moment "Um... Okay." He said, looking at the two adults, "Okay...uh...did you ever see that really old movie, Aliens?"

"Is that how every single one of your plans starts?" Hadley asked, crossing her arms

"Kinda-" Peter mumbled

Tony sighed "I can't believe I have to say this again, but the kid's onto something" he said

Hadley thought for a moment before sighing and nodding "Alright... Do it"

Tony nodded and flew down slowly to sneak up on the Squidward creature.

"Miss Velvet I-"

"I don't want to hear it" Hadley said, crotching down to watch Tony carefully

"But-"

"And I'm not going to listen so zip it" Hadley said, "just be ready if anything goes wrong."

"Yes ma'am.." Peter replied quietly

"Painful aren't they?" The Squidward creature spoke to Strange, "They were originally designed for microsurgery. And any one of them-"

His attention was immediately grabbed when Tony touched down behind him. He turned to see Tony standing there, his arm raised threateningly

"...could end your friend's life in an instant." Squidward said to Tony

Tony sighed "I gotta tell you, he's not really my friend. Saving his life is more a professional courtesy." He replied

"You've saved nothing. Your powers are inconsequential compared to mine." Squidward replied

Tony shrugged "Yeah, but the kid's seen more movies." He said before a launcher on his shoulder opened up, shooting a missile at the side of the ship

The missile blew a hole in the side of ship, sucking Squidward into space

Strange began to get sucked through as well before Peter jumped down and shot a web, catching hit back. But Peter was pulled with it

Peter was dragged through the ship to the hole when his mechanical legs came out and caught him from flying out

"Yes!" Peter cheered before noticing the legs, "Wait what are those??"

Hadley hopped down from the ledge, landing on her feet (poser) she shot her hand forward, clenching her fist then she launched Peter backward, toward where she and Tony stood

Peter and Strange landed on the ground with a thump as Tony used Nanonites to seal the hole in the ship, leaving Squidward to freeze in space
