Waluigi's Time

Waluigi stood outside a large building with a determined smile. This building was home to the greatest game ever made: Smash Bro's Ultimate. Strong people from all over the Mushroom Kingdom had been put into this game for players to be as they battled each other in combat. Waluigi knew he deserved to be among the chosen, and today was the day that he got in.

He stepped inside and was immediately greeted with the sight of the Smash Bro's development team. People were running left and right and rapidly typing into computers. In the centre of the room, a massive floating white glove was yelling at the employees, despite having no mouth. "Hurry up, I want Smash Ultimate to be flawless!" It said.

Waluigi marched up to Master Hand and got his attention. "Oh, it's you, Waluigi," Master Hand groaned. This wasn't the first time Waluigi had bothered him by begging to get into his game. "Well, now that you've seen what you'll never get into, the door is behind you". Waluigi clenched his fist and screamed at the top of lungs.

"Listen to me, Master Hand!" Waluigi screamed. "Just give me a chance!"

"Ugh, fine. We'll talk," Master Hand said, the sooner he got rid of Waluigi, the better. He turned around and saw the employees staring at the scene the two were making. "Did I say you could stop working!?" The employees went right back to working. "Follow me," Master Hand said.

He lead him into an office where a desk sat with a chair on either side of it. Master Hand floated just above his while Waluigi sat at his. Then he threw himself onto his knees and gripped the table edge tightly. "I'm begging you! Please let me into Smash!"

"Waluigi, you've been trying this for ages, it's not happening," Master Hand said. "Besides, even if I was to let you in, what would your special move be?"

Waluigi thought for a moment, then he held up his finger and announced his move. "Wah," he said proudly.

"Saying 'wah', is not a special move, Waluigi," Master Hand sighed. He turned to the window and seemed to be staring out at the city, but it was difficult to tell since he had no visible eyes, yet he could still 'see'. "Every fighter has something unique about them, you do not. You are not unique!" He pointed his massive index finger at Waluigi, clearly signalling that comment was the final decision.

Waluigi looked down in shame and walked out of the room. He didn't look at anyone or anything as he walked back out of the building and down the street, his heart filled with sadness and rejection.

He made it to back to the bridge that he lived under. His brother, Wario, was already there, happily munching away on a bucket of fried chicken. "Hey, bro. Where'd you go? You're chicken got eaten".

Normally, Waluigi would have cared, but today, he was too sad. "Bro, do you think I'm unique?"

"Unique?" Wario questioned. "Uh, sure?"

Waluigi's face brightened a little. "Really? What would say would be a great special move for me?"

"Special move?" Wario put his hand on his forehead and thought...for about an hour. After sitting their in that same thinking position for a while, he looked at his bucket. "Oh look, my chicken ran out. I'll get more". He got up and dashed down the street.

"Hey wait! You didn't answer my question!" Waluigi called. Wario didn't turn around, vanishing around the corner. Waluigi sat down at his designated spot under the bridge and looked at his reflection in a broken piece of glass. "Is there really nothing special about me?" Waluigi shook his head in denial. "No! I must have something unique!"

"Yo neighbour," a familiar voice said. It was Bob, he had a mug in hand. "I was hoping to borrow some sugar, I'm making some hashbrownies".

"Bob? Say, do you have a special move?"
