This is loosely inspired by @milk_bread3's fic "A Blight Style Sleepover" on AO3! I really loved their fic and wanted to draw smth for it and then my mind wandered,,, oop.

Also, some of the plot is vaguely inspired by @notthebestasbestos'sfi on AO3, "Baby, Nothing Comes For Free", that was unintentional but as i read through i noticed some similarities and wanted to give credit to the original writer ! also def check out both fics on ao3, but be aware of tags.

Enjoy, gamers!

Hunter was having a hard time making friends. After all, not a lot of people want to be associated with someone on a wanted poster plastered all over the Isles. He did have Luz, of course, and the other residents of the Owl House. After he left the coven for good he didn't exactly have anywhere else to go. It wasn't meant to be permanent, but the more Luz and Eda treated him like family the more it was seeming like it.

It had been about 3 months since he left the coven, word was dying down, scouts weren't littering the Isles on every corner, and Hunter felt oddly lonely.

He didn't get out of the house much, and he avoided trying school since the students would be able to recognize him from the posters.

This was starting to change however. About a month ago, Hunter had met the rest of the Blight siblings, excluding Amity since he had already encountered her at Eclipse Lake, and didn't have much of a choice but to befriend her. She wasn't quick to forgive, but the longer he stayed at the Owl House the more she softened her walls around him.

Back to the Blight twins however, him and Emira had hit it off pretty well at first. They both posed an interest in glyph studies, since not many other witches seemed to need them. Emira could perform magic naturally, but still found the alphabet-esque system quite interesting.

This had led to a decent understanding between the two, but as is fate, befriending Emira had also led to Hunter meeting the other twin.

Edric Blight.

There was a problem with that, however. Hunter had always known that he didn't look at girls in the same way he looked at boys, but he didn't exactly know what that meant. When he had asked his Uncle about it, well... That's why part of his ear was missing.

But regardless, to Hunter's knowledge, he had never had a crush on anyone before. And this feeling that was beginning to grow in him didn't exactly match the descriptions he's heard of crushes from fellow peers.

Hunter thought about Edric in a way he didn't think about anyone else. Edric was a person Hunter actually wanted to know deeper, he wanted to listen to his life stories, understand his jokes, and just... know him.

Sometimes these thoughts ended at the two of them having long talks, looking at each other a lot, and falling asleep next to each other.

But lately, the thoughts had began to include Edric holding his face, blushing at something he said, playing with his hair, pulling him into his lap, and something else he didn't have a word for. That in particular made him feel nauseas, or maybe his stomach was just tingly. He had imagined Edric closing his eyes, and pressing his lips to his own, sweetly and longing. From what he knows, there wasn't a word for what that was that existed. But Titan did he think about it a lot.

When his dreams began to drift away from paralyzing nightmares of his past experiences, they faded into more pleasant fantasies. Sharing a laugh with Luz and Amity under a tree, Eda and him practicing glyphs together, him and Emira pulling pranks on Edric, and him and Edric, well...
