-Runner potential-

It's been almost a month since (y/n) came into the Glade. She ended up being a Med-jack since she can wrap a wound better than our current Med-jacks. Occasionally she would help Frypan in the kitchen but she would mainly stay in the Homestead fixing up slicers mostly, occasionally builders and... me.

"Again?" (y/n) sigh as I entered the Homestead's medical room. Aziel was sitting on one of the beds, mindlessly swinging his legs. He gave me a cheeky grin, wiggling his eyebrows in suggestion. that shank-

"At this rate, the runners will be the ones with the most injuries with their keeper being the top of the leaderboard. "haha very funny, now just fix me up you shank." I sat on the bed, beside Aziel, as (y/n) grabbed the necessary materials. "Funny seeing you here." Aziel hopped off the bed, going to fetch me a glass of water.

"So what are we dealing with today? A close call from a griever? A bruise from running into a wall or tripping on stray ivy? Or stupidly holding a knife blade first?" (y/n) sets the materials on the bed beside me and a bucket of water with a cloth on the bedside table, "Oh come on! That was one time!" I rolled my eyes at the giggling girl as I showed her the scrape from my forearm. "But seriously? How the hell did you manage to grab a knife wrongly? You sheath a knife blade first."

(y/n) grabs the cloth, wringing it before cleaning the dirt on my forearm, "I asked the same thing but he won't spill the beans." Aziel came back with my cup of water. I grabbed the cup, giving him a small thank you, "That was like two weeks ago, can you just drop it?" she only gave me a grin, "Never."

"When will you stop hurting yourself? I'm getting a little worried, you know?" I could see (y/n)'s concern as clear as day, "You don't have to worry. I'm strong y'know? I'll always come back to you." I cradled her face with my other hand. "Then promise me you will come back to me, no matter what." (y/n) face held concern but also a little determination. "Then promise me YOU will always come back to me." I gave her a reassuring smile. Her face finally broke into a smile,

"I promise. And I always keep my promises."

"Good that. Then I promise as well." I went to take a swig of my water.

Truth be told, I don't really need a Med-jack. I've been careful all my life in the Glade until (y/n) showed up, then I would "accidentally" run into walls or trip on ivy. I was mainly there to really just see (y/n). But me holding the knife blade first really was purely on accident.

"Well I guess that's another Minho mystery, ain't that right mom?" Aziel broke the moment.

"Hgnk!' I choked on my water. "Aziel, would you stop calling me mom? It makes me feel old." (y/n) sighed as she patted my back to help me. "But you basically are the closest mother figure I will have. Just like how Minho's the closest father figure I have and he doesn't complain when I call him dad sometimes." oh that little shank-

"Well I have different opinions on some things. Besides, calling me mom might make Minho here, uncomfortable." (y/n) continues to bandage my arm, "Does that mean you're getting a di-die- dee- divorece?" Aziel gave us his sad puppy eyes which unfortunately still works on me, "Divorce, and I don't mind. If that's what Aziel wants then sure." I wave Aziel's puppy face away, trying to cool my face in the process. "Uhh, okay. If you're sure." (y/n) redirected her focus back on bandaging my arm and I swore I could see red on her face-

"Wooo! Yay!" Aziel cheered. Me and (y/n) only shared a stare before bursting out in laughter." At that moment, my heart went all fuzzy and my mind went jittery. But one thing's for certain, I wanted to share more moments like this with Aziel. With (y/n).
