"Welcome home, Harry." The houseman, Bernard greeted Harry as we enter the Osborn's manor. Harry smiles at the old man and hugged him. "Thank God you're all right." Bernard said. "Thanks, Bernard." Harry replied.
"Bernard." Peter said as he and I shook Bernard's hand. "Sir. ma'am." Bernard said, before he took Harry's bags carrying them upstairs. Peter unzip his backpack and took out the basketball inside, holding it out to Harry. "Got you a little homecoming present."
"Wha... It's your old ball!" Harry said, excitedly. Taking the familiar ball and turning it until he saw 'Parker' written on it. "Yeah." Peter said, throwing his backpack back on his shoulder. "Thanks, buddy." Harry said, grinning at him. When Harry turn his smile onto me, I felt a little unease.
"We were pretty good in the backyard, weren't we?" Harry asked, dribbling the ball. "We were terrible. And we tried out for the varsity team." Peter said, tossing his bag aside as we started walk down the stairs.
"Yeah, for the cheerleaders." Harry said, grinning. "Right." Peter replied, raising his eyebrows and smiling. "I told you boys, you be wasting your time." I said, making them laugh. "Well at least it worked out in the end." Peter said, wrapping his arm around my waist pulling me closer.
Harry stop dripping the ball, to look between us surprised. "You two are together?" He asked us. Peter looks nervous at first, but then nods firmly. "Oh... that's good. I'm happy for you both." Harry said, seeming sad at first. "Hey, do I have any girlfriends?" He then asked, quickly. "I don't know." Peter answered.
"You don't?" Harry asked, then he looks up at Bernard. "Hey Bernard, do I have any girlfriends?" He asked his Butler. "Not that I know of, sir." Bernard replied from the stairs. While Harry was distracted, Peter knock the ball out of his hand and begins dripping down the hall.
Harry chases after him, trying to block him. But Peter move around the table and pass it to me. Harry came at me trying to take the ball but I swirled around him and pass the ball back to Peter. "Hey, you two are pretty good. You're like in sync with each other." Harry complemented us. "Heh thanks." Peter said, passing the ball back to Harry.
"It's a pretty cool pad huh?" Harry asked, as he begins dribbling the ball again "It's okay." Peter replied. "Looks like I'm not worrying for money." Harry said. "No." I said, looking at some of the expensive items as we pass them.
"Well, maybe I can turn this no-girlfriend thing around." Harry said. Peter laughs and takes the ball back as we enter the living room. I stop in my tracks, looking at the couch where Otto laid me down for Harry. The very same place Harry found out I was Spider-Woman.
I look at Peter beside me, seeing him looking the same direction in shock. It was also the same place he put Norman when he brought him home and Harry saw Spider-Man for the first time. I took Peter's hand to comfort him. Peter took his eyes off the sofa to look down at our hands then up at me, with a little grateful smile.
"You know..." We took our eyes off of each other, to look at Harry. Who was staring at the portrait of his father. "He always appreciated how you helped me through high school. I just wish I could remember more about him."
"He loved you. That's the main thing." Peter told him, Harry doesn't respond. "Hey, let's watch the game in the kitchen. Get something to eat." I suggested. Harry took his eyes off the portrait to look at me. "'Kay." He said, and turn his gaze back onto the portrait.
Peter toss the basketball at Harry to try and get his mind off of Norman. But Harry wasn't paying attention and the ball hits a vase next to him. "Whoa, heads up!" Peter said, as the ball and vase started to fall in different directions.
Harry reactive with lightning fast reflexes. He caught the basketball in one hand and the vase in the other. Harry looked at his hand holding the vase stunned, while Peter and I look at him nervous. Harry look at us grinning... With a grin almost similar to his father's. "Did you see that?" He asked us.
