"Just calm down okay! Everything is going to be fine!" Alice says flattening Vera's hair with her fingers.

"You don't know that! He could find me incredibly boring or I don't know just plain hate me." Vera sighed she was currently pacing around the Cullen's kitchen.

"Oh hello again Vera, honestly the amount of times your in this house, You practically live here now. Might need to start renovating your bedroom." Emmet joked just arriving back from hunting.

"Not helping Emmet!" Alice grunted pouring a glass of water for the witch girl. "Here, Drink this. Honestly Vera I'm sure Marcus will love you, There is no need to worry okay?" She said handing her the glass.

They then heard the faint sound of a doorbell. He was here.

Carlisle opened the door and greeted the older vampire. If you hadn't already guessed there was an arrangement made, Each king would visit Vera and spend a week in forks whist the other two remained in Volturi. A few weeks ago Vera was stunned to see the entire elite guard at her door, The three kings had sent them to watch over the witch girl making sure no harm would be done to her.

Vera made her way over to the door accompanied with Alice. She caught eye of him standing there. Out of the three kings Marcus seemed the most patient and calm hence why he was sent to visit first.

"Hello Amore mio, It is wonderful to see you again. Myself and my brothers have been eager to speak to you." He stated, His face plastered with a smile which she returned, she shifted the weight of her leg onto the other and fidgeted with her nails.

"Would you join me for a walk?" He asked it sounded more like a order but nether the less she agreed nodding her head and grabbing her jacket.

"I'll see you guys tomorrow." Vera spoke waving towards her friends.

"Have fun Vera." Rosalie teased winking at the younger girl watching her face turn a pinky-red in embarrassment.

"Not too much fun!" Alice added making the girls face go a shade even darker her face like a tomato, the two sisters laughed then thankfully for Vera shut
the door.

"So Tesoro, Tell me about yourself, What are your ambitions?" Marcus asked taking her arm an interlocking with him.

"Well, When I was younger I wanted to be a princess, But now I'm not sure, I mean I like art and reading. Everyone expects me to have an answer on what I want to do with my life but I mean I'm only eighteen so I honestly have no idea." I answered truthfully, Hoping I didn't offend him with my answer.

"Yes, I agree. You are still very young Vera, Although you speak as though you are much older, It's fascinating really. You fascinate me Vera." He said as we strolled around the outskirts of the forest.

"You mentioned earlier you like reading, In Volterra we have a library full of all the books you could ever imagine, I shall show you some day. What are your favourite books?" My face lit up, I will definitely need to visit that library some day.

"I will definitely need to see that library, My favourite books are Little women and Pride and prejudice. The movies are great too." I answered

"Ah yes, Both great reads. I myself am currently reading the Harry Potter series." I chuckled at his answer and his face showed a offensive look.

"No, no, It's just your Like an ancient old vampire reading such a modern book, I just was expecting you to say you read Shakespeare or something." I explained, He just laughed and shook his head. "Don't worry I was only joking, You could never annoy me Tesoro." He assured.

"What does Tersona mean?" He laughed, He hadn't laughed in so long he forgot what it felt like.

"You mean Tesoro? It means Darling." He admitted. We had stopped walking.

"We are at your home now, I shall meet you tomorrow. You can show me around forks." Marcus remarked taking my hand and planting a kiss.

"Goodbye Amore mio."

"Goodbye Marcus." I whispered walking towards my door and unlocking it, Turing back to see Marcus had left. He had only just gone and she already felt the absence of his presence.

I missed him.
