Sadly the kings only stayed for 2 days at most and once again I was standing at the door saying goodbye to Aro.

"Well it has been incredible getting to know you Tesoro, you really are such a bright and beautiful woman." He admitted his emotions had recently been taking control of himself and he didn't mind.

"I loved spending time with you." I said a smile on my face.

He loved nothing more than when she smiled. Her eyes crinkled and the corners of her mouth turned up. It never took long for her too smile only a stupid joke, sarcastic remark and boom she smiled. It was like someone had painted a sunflower on her face. Soon enough he was grinning, and so was she.

She tackled him into a hug, determined to not be the first to let go. She was hugging him like they would never see each other again. But they both knew soon enough they would be face to face again.
And when that happens everything will feel in place again.

"Good bye Vera." He said planting a kiss on her cheek, her face grew red at the sudden gesture.

"Goodbye Aro."

It had been 2 days since Aro had left and Vera now knew the timespan in which one of her mates would leave and the next would arrive and today she was prepared she knew she would be meeting Caius today and when Alice called to arrange her to come over for dinner it only confirmed her suspicions.

Also the face that she was the only one that ate, Lets just say Alice isn't the best at lying on the spot.

"Oh Vera! Do come inside." Alice was practically bursting with joy, she grabbed the younger girl by her wrist pulling her into the house.

"Some one is In the living room." She spoke, she was speaking so quickly I barely had time to process what she was saying.

"Let me guess, Caius." I said she sighed dramatically her hands dying up in the air.

"How did you even know!"

"It's not hard to guess, each time one mate leaves another comes in the span of two days." I giggled at the girls annoyance whispering a small sorry to her and patting her back.

"If it makes you feel better I'll pretend I don't know." I joked

"Yes, that would make me feel better." I nodded we walked into the living room to be met with Carlisle and Caius sitting. I could tell that Caius wasn't too fond of Carlisle which made me laugh as it seemed like they were reminiscing about the 'good old days'.

"Caius, I didn't expect this. It's nice to meet you." I said winking to Alice jokingly.

"Yes it's nice to see too, especially now on better circumstances." Caius replied

Alice and Carlisle stood by the door "We will let you two talk." Carlisle said as both him and Alice turned and left giving us privacy to speak.

Caius decided it was time to start conversation so he did. "I am staying a day extra, both my brothers decided on it. Just to make sure you are safe. You will also have a few guard members watching you for the time being." He stated making sure that Vera was safe was his top priority. "So we have plenty of time to do whatever you like." He said.

Trying to understand caius more I decided to ask some questions, I was told he was the most closed off out of the three kings. "So, what do you like to do?" I asked.

"Honestly, like my brother Marcus I spend a lot of time reading but majority of my free time I spend painting. It's very relaxing." He said "Marcus and Aro may have told me you enjoy art aswell." I smiled at the fact they had talked about me, all good thing I hope.

"Yes, it's very peaceful. I'll have to show you my sketchbook one day."

"I would love to see it." He added

"So I hope you don't mind me asking but, how old are all of you?" I questioned, hoping he wouldn't find the question rude.

"We are all around the age of 3400, we don't keep track but we know we are near that number." He said and my eyes practically fell open.

"3000! Doesn't it get boring living so long." I asked shocked someone could even stand living for that long.

He glanced to the ground then his eyes met with mine. "Sometimes it gets boring, the same things over and over again. But now that I've met you I don't believe anything could be boring Amore mio." He admitted and I gave a toothy smile.

"Not a second shall ever feel boring again."
