Black Lightning: The Outsiders

Chapter 1: Fresh Start

Jeff has gathered everyone at a discreet location in Freeland. 

"Dad, why do you have us at a Junkyard?", Jenn asks.

"Patience is key", Jeff says.

"Patience need to speed up because it's cold out here", Anissa says snuggling up to Grace.

"I told everyone to bring a jacket", Jeff says.

"I didn't get that notification!", Brandon says looking at Jenn.

"Neither did I!", Khalil says.

"Well I told someone", Jeff replies.

"Jeff stop messing around and just show them", Lynn says.

"Fine", Jeff says moving toward a shipping container, "Everyone in!".

"I am not walking into a shipping container", Jenn says.

"Yeah, it's creepy", Erica says.

"Stop being a baby, I'm right here", TC says grabbing Erica's arm and walking into the Shipping Container.

Everyone gets inside and Jeff closes the door. 

"This isn't weird at all", Grace says.

"Outsiders!", Jeff says.

Suddenly the floor to the Shipping Container stars lowering. They panic frantically until they land on Pavement and lights come on around them to show fancy decorations, equipment, bedrooms, and more.

"Dad, what is this place?", Jenn asks.

"This is your new Home and Sanctum and Since Erica is out of her coma, I think it's time for the team to start fighting crime again", Gambi says walking from behind them.

They jump nervously. 

"We get to live here?", Dionte asks. 

"Yep, and Gambi would you like to tell them what this new Living Arrangement has to offer.", Jeff says.

"This place includes, a total of 10 bedrooms, 4 baths, a game room, a movie room, of course a mini version of the sanctum for TC, a pool, an upgraded pod room with a new installment, a gym, and a practice room to practice with your powers", Gambi says.

"Wow!", Grace says.

"How can we afford this?", Jenn asks.

"Well after the house got destroyed we got a huge insurance payment to cover all damages and we put all of the money into here, and for my help with the Crisis Team, they donated the rest", Jeff says.

"And this is ours?", Anissa asks.

"Yes, it's for the team", Jeff says.

"It's for the Outsiders!", Grace says.

"When did we agree on that name?", Jenn asks.

"Do you have a better one?", Grace asks turning towards her.

"Actually I do, I was thinking Lightning and the Bolts", Jenn says joking.

"As if", Khalil says laughing.

Brandon walks up beside Jenn.

"I like it!", Brandon says smiling, putting his arm around Jenn.

Jeff clears his throat and Brandon quickly takes his arm from around Jenn. 

Suddenly a Jet is heard outside of the Sanctum.

"That must be for us", Jeff says taking a deep breath.
