Homework Not Done On Time

Janet was slacking off in doing her homework. Her teacher, Mrs. Harris, kept giving her a lot of zeros, for not completing her homework on time. She spent most of her time, hanging out with her friends at the mall, rather than focusing on the important things. Her grades were slipping as well. Her mother wasn't pleased.

"Janet, why haven't you been turning in your homework?" she asked.

"I been busy, Mom," replied Janet.

"Busy with what?"

"Hanging out with Mary, Sasha, and Rosie."

"And, hanging out with friends is more important than getting your homework done? That is unacceptable! Totally despicable!"

If Janet didn't turn her homework in, then her mother wouldn't let her go trick or treating with her friends on Halloween. She was very clear on that. Janet had to decide what was more important. Her homework, or hanging out with her friends.

She thought about it.
