Most people keep their room, nice and clean. Everything is as neat as they should be. But, not Jodi's room. It was a complete pigsty. Clothes all over the floor, bed not made, and crumbs scattered all over the place. Her mother didn't approve of her pigsty of a room. Her floor was like a river of clothes, that would make someone sink in so quickly.
"Clean your room, Jodi!" demanded her mother. "This is unacceptable!"
"I'll clean it, later," replied Jodi.
"Now!" barked her mother. "Not next week, now!" Her mother was very strict. Unless, she cleaned her room, she wouldn't be able to hang out with her friends. That's how it was in this household. Jodi didn't like it, but her mother knew best.
Jodi eventually cleaned her room, from top to bottom. She had to vacuum all of the crumbs, and she had BBQ sauce stains on her covers. She had to wash all of her dirty clothes, and sheets.
A very strict household, means very strict chores. Jodi's mother was very clear on that.
