Skylar's eyes had begun to slowly flutter open and once her vision became cleared, she let out a short surprised scream. She had awoken to Kate's face directly in front of hers, she was watching Skylar sleep. Kate let out a short surprised scream of her own from hearing Skylar's surprised scream, jumping away.

"*Zooterkins, what are you doing?" Skylar almost about yelled at Kate as she pulled herself to slightly sit up on the bed. Skylar feigned a wince as her shoulder was bandaged. Kate slowly moved to sit on the edge of the bed next to Skylar to check on her.

"Don't move, you're still healing." Kate had a look of worry as she helped Skylar sit up. "Sorry I scared you, I've just never seen someone from the outside before."

"Who are you and where am I?" Skylar asked as she looked around the room and Kate smiled.

"My name's Kate and you're safe here, safe from everyone else," Kate replied.

"Who's everyone else?" Skylar asked trying to keep her cover of not having a clue of where she was. Instead of answering, Kate dismissed the question by asking another question.

"Do you remember what happened to you?" Kate gestured to Skylar's shoulder.

"Um... I was walking home through the woods, but I don't remember anything after that" Skylar told a fake story.

Skylar noticed how Kate's eyes had begun to glaze over and in the next few seconds, the door to the room opened. The tall, brooding Lycan man was in the doorway as he held open the door.

"Out. Now." Kieran's voice came out harsh as he spoke to his sister, but his eyes didn't leave from Skylar. Kate stood up quickly from the bed and walked out the room, but not before looking over her shoulder and flashing a small smile at Skylar. Skylar didn't say a word as she stared at the siblings and didn't move a muscle as she saw how angry Kieran looked. She just didn't know what he was angry about. Kieran shut the door once Kate left and moved towards the front of the bed with his arms crossed against his body.

"What's your name?" Kieran asked, his face stoic and the harsh tone never leaving his voice.

"Ky," she quickly answered and mentally slapped herself for giving him that name. Kieran didn't seem like a patient man so she answered him quickly, not wanting to fuel him up even more. "What's yours?" Kieran ignored her question and continued with his line of questioning.

"Why were you in this territory?" Kieran went straight to the point, he didn't trust anyone from the outside and he sure as hell didn't seem fooled by Skylar's sudden appearance in his territory.

"Where am I exactly?" Skylar lied through her teeth and she was a good liar at that. All her acting experience had helped with that specific skill.

"The last place you'd ever want to be in." Kieran vaguely answered as he turned on his heels and walked out the room. The sounds of a lock clicking could be heard from where Skylar's position.

Kate appeared from out of her bedroom, a couple of doors down from Kieran's. As Kieran approached her, she held a worried look on her face.

"I'm sorry," Kate softly said to her brother in which he responded with a low growl.

"What were you doing in my room, I told you to stay away from her, and you should've called me the second she woke up." Kieran's voice was low, but still angry.

"I wanted to meet her and see if she was okay from her injuries," Kate's voice remained soft as she looked down at the ground like a scolded child.

"That was foolish of you, you know you can't control your beast. We also don't know who she really is or why she's in our territory. We can't trust anyone from the outside, you remember the note the Pixies left us during the last delivery. There's a war out there, anyone could try and use us if they were to ever get inside here." Kieran was not being sympathetic to his sister because he wanted her to get it through her head that the creatures on the outside were unpredictable and dangerous. He resented the fact that he brought Skylar into their home, but in the moment he couldn't leave her to die out there alone.

"It's not fair," Kate mumbled as her eyes began to water. Kieran pulled his sister into a hug and softly rubbed her on the back.

"Shh, I know it's not. I really wish I could change our circumstance, I really wish you all had control of what happens when we turn into our beasts." Kieran tried to soothe Kate as he spoke softly to her.

"Why couldn't we all be like you," Kate mumbled into his chest.

"I wonder the same thing everyday," Kieran whispered.

Back in the bedroom, Skylar sprinted to her feet the second she heard the door lock. Her ankle was bandaged and she didn't feel any pain as she moved about the room. From the inside, her shoulder and ankle were healed, but from the outside, they still looked like they needed weeks to heal.

Skylar started searching through chests and wardrobes, trying to find any clues as to why a Werewolf like Kieran was staying here with the Lycans. Skylar was sure that the room belonged to him. She didn't find anything of importance until she stubbled upon a small chest hidden behind a stack of clothes in the wardrobe. Skylar grabbed onto the small chest and tried to open it, but it was locked. She chanted a spell that unlocked items, but it didn't work on the chest. Skylar heard shuffling from the door and quickly put the small chest back in its place and ran to the bed, under the covers. The door slowly opened as she watched Kieran come in holding a tray which held a sandwich and a cup of water. Skylar and Kieran's eyes locked with one another as he walked to the beside table and placed the tray there.

"Eat. Once you're all healed up, you're leaving this place. You're lucky I bothered saving you and brought you here." Kieran's voice was no longer angry, but his tone held all the seriousness in the world.

"You do not have to be rude, what did I ever do to you?" Skylar huffed as she rolled her eyes at him.

"Just eat," Kieran said with a snarl and turned to walk back out of the room as Skylar mumbled to herself.

"*Mooncalf Werewolf," Kieran stopped in his tracks at hearing her words. Skylar wasn't paying attention to him as she went to grab the food tray, so she didn't notice he had stopped. When she looked back up, he was already out the door. Kieran stood outside of his bedroom door and wondered what game Skylar was playing at. Did she really think he was a Werewolf and has no idea that she was in the Lycan territory? Kieran came up with a plan to take her out of their home, he would blindfold her and make sure she doesn't find out she was inside with the Lycans. Skylar on the other hand, had a plan of her own. She would find a way to gain Kieran's trust and the way to do it was through one person.

Kate.
