Denial - Gi-Hun

You sighed quietly as you lay your head on your friend Gi-Hun's chest. Why Gi-Hun was your best friend definitely not anything more. You placed a hand atop his as he wrapped his arms around you waiting for Ali and Sang-Woo to come back to the room with popcorn. Sae-Byeok and Ji-Yeong sat on the carpet watching the plain black screen as Sae-Byeok shot me a look signalling to do a certain thing but that task was unknown. You gave her questioning eyes then she raised her head to Gi-Hun then back to you. What was she suggesting? Oh hell no was she suggesting like I don't know for me to like hug him back or something? I mean platonically definitely. But romantically? Nope definitely not. You had already made a terrible mistake with romance in the past and it wasn't happening again. You leaned your head towards Gi-Hun's hand as he ruffled your hair smiling ever so slightly. As he hugged you tighter you practically melted at his clingy-ish ways. Completely unintentionally of course! Your face turned a beet red and you loudly announced that you were going to help Ali and Sang-Woo with the popcorn.

As you walked into the kitchen you were greeted by a curious looking Ali as he watched the popcorn pop, jumping slightly every now and then at a loud pop and Sang-Woo smiling at Ali's curiosity. Sang-Woo turned around making Ali turn around as well. "Oh." You heard Sang-Woo said in a emotionless voice. "It's just you."
"Hello Y/N!" You heard Ali greet in his cheerful voice as his wide eyes stared at you with the same curiosity he had merely a few moments ago. "Popcorns nearly ready probably a minute or so then it's ready if that's why your here." Said Sang-Woo popping a piece of the snack into his mouth from one of the three bowls. One still remained empty. "Oh no it's not that I just..." You paused trying to think of an excuse "Uh wanted to say hi!". Sang-Woo gave a sarcastic "Mm-hmm" still chewing a piece of popcorn. Ali gave a knowing smile to Sang-Woo then back to you. "Oh it seems like the popcorns ready." I'll go bring it to the others and let both of you talk." Said Ali as Sang-Woo gave him a grin of appreciation. "So," he said looking at you with a mischievous glare. "You and Gi-Hun hm?" "Yes what about us?" You answered fiddling with your fingers slightly. "You know what about you two!" He answered. Was he mad about something? Did he not want you to spend time with Gi-Hun? "Honestly I don't." You said truthfully.
"Your in love with each other genius!" He said as if it were obvious. "No we're not." You said blankly, cheeks starting to get dusted with blush. "Oh come on the way you look at each other," he said pulling a finger out and starting to count them. "How you treat each other, how he's so clingy with you, how you care so much about him. I can go on" He raised an eyebrow at you. You thought about it for a moment. A really long hard moment. "But what about what happened last time I-" you were cut off by his voice "Oh don't bring George into this! He was just a piece of trash! This is Gi-Hun we've been talking about. Y'know our best friend" You looked down into your hands wondering for a long moment the more you thought about it the more clearer it seemed. "OH-" you said aloud while Sang-Woo smiled at you. "Well I'm glad I-" he was cut off by a new voice in the room. "Yo are you guys coming we're about to start the movie and it will be without you if you two don't get here soon." You slowly walked to the living room while Sang-Woo stared at you a shit-eating grin still on his face

Sang-Woo mentally sighed as he stared at you and Gi-Hun now I got over having to explain to Y/N that they're into him. The harder part is to actually get them together. He sighed rubbing his hands together as if he were cold. I never thought I'd be playing matchmaker for these idiots he thought with a bittersweet smirk
