Again, this night wasn't a pleasant one but much worse. I'd woken up several times by the roar of thunder outside. The dream was also a horrendous one as well as when I finally managed to get back to sleep, I was greeted with a whole lot of criticism, assumably for the painter....

"Your paintings are too murky!"
"Look at the colourful landscapes other painters won awards for!"
"The calculated detail in their use of colour is most impressive, and yet there isn't any trace of the intense animalistic hues you employ!"
"You're not suited as a painter, go find another job!"

"No way, how much hate had he received despite improved so much?" I couldn't imagine how he was able to adapt with all those terrible hatred from those critics. And perhaps, he also might have rejected at art exhibitions countless times too. Not for a while, I was able to reconnect to the vision of the painter as he woke up at the fourth day. The cat was gone and the painter found his paintings were ruined

"No, no, no, no, no! My sketches!" The cat must have dropped his bag while trying to escape, causing the sketch papers wantonly scattered on the floor and covered with footprints

"By Christ, his sketches were murky too. He has applied to much water on the paint!" I quickly analysed the murky painting and came up the cause. It is important that to control the colours, the humidity of the canvas and brushes must be adjusted before painting to avoid excess water soaked the canvas and damaged the quality of the painting. The painter looked at it and sigh, then keep it in his bag before proceeded to the girl's room.
