It was a cold, rainy 10th of October in Konoha, it had been raining for 3 days straight. In the Konoha orphanage, a young boy with blonde hair, a pair of blue eyes and with three whisker marks on each cheek could be seen crying in his room.

"Why does everyone hate me?" The young boy thought sobbing

This was Naruto Uzumaki, the "demon" or "demon child" as the villagers called him. He was chosen by the Yondaime Hokage, Namikaze Minato, to be the jailor of the Kyubi no Kitsune, also known as the Nine Tailed Demon fox. This was the reason everyone hated him, for they couldn't tell the difference between a glass of water and the water inside of it.

As the boy was sobbing, a knock on his door could be heard:
"Come in." Said the young boy
The door opened to reveal a man in his sixties wearing a white robe with a hat that had Kanji for "Fire" in it. It was none other than one of the only people who cared about Naruto, his dear Jiji Hiruzen Sarutobi:
"Hello Naruto-kun. How are you today?" Hiruzen greeted the boy who ran up and hugged him
"Jiji! You came!" Naruto would exclaim as he expected Mother Nono, the only person who cared for him in the orphanage to enter his room.
"Of course I came Naruto-kun. It is your birthday after all." The old man told Naruto with a smile
"Say, how about we go for some ramen?" The Sandaime Hokage asked his surrogate Grandson.
"Well, I'll have to ask Mother Nono if that isn't a problem! Also, what is Ramen?" The boy asked, never hearing of such a word.
"Oh you'll see my boy, and I bet you'll love it." Hiruzen finished as they walked out of the room.

The two of them were walking towards the exit, when they were met by Nono Yakushi:
"Sandaime-Sama! It's an honor to have you here! And what does little Naruto want?" She exclaimed happily, a smile on her face.
"Well, we're-" the Professor was about to talk when he was interrupted by Naruto
"Mother Nono, do you mind if I go out with Jiji?" Naruto asked his mother-figure.
"Of course I don't! You don't need to ask me when you want to go out with Hokage-Sama Naruto!" She'd say, her smile not fading
"Well then what are we waiting for? Let's go Jiji!" Naruto said dragging Hiruzen toward the door.
"Have fun you two!" Nono said before the two were out of the building.

As they walked out though, Hiruzen noticed something. The rain suddenly stopped. Maybe it was a coincidence? For now it didn't matter. He was to think about it later.

When they were on their way to the Ichiraku Ramen, the villagers noticed Naruto and they were all glaring at him daggers, which was making Naruto uncomfortable. Noticing this, Hiruzen let out some KI (Killer Intent) and the glares were not only gone, but some villagers were struggling for breath. With Naruto comfortable again, he asked his Jiji:
"Um, Jiji? Why does everyone look at me like that?" He'd say with sadness in his eyes
Seeing Naruto sad always broke the old Kage, wishing he could just strangle everyone who dared to wrong Naruto, but he just couldn't. His face keeping the same, old and wise expression, he answered partially truthfully.
"They're just stupid people Naruto-kun. Don't pay attention to them"
The answer didn't satisfy Naruto, but if Jiji didn't want to talk about it, he wouldn't bother him.
