Day 5

<<Speaking English>>

April was greeting clients outside the conference room as they made their way to the second floor. One after another, she continued to smile and shake hands with the people she got to know all week, knowing that today was going to be the last day to see them.

Her workload was more heavier then usual this morning as she was helping everyone with small tasks and gathering information for clients. Now that the firm was short two executives, everyone was instructed to pitch in and help the day move more smoothly.

As everyone was gathering and gradually moving towards the conference room, she couldn't help but think about what took place here a while ago without the clients knowledge.

The outburst of Mills after seeing all the evidence against him, the reaction of Aimes as he covered his face after being attacked, the near chaos in the halls as Mills was being dragged away. It would be hard to believe if she hadn't seen it for herself.

Even though she never saw the investigators handcuff him, which disappointed her, she was glad to see him humiliated after all these years. It might have felt somewhat vindictive against him, but this was one of those guilty pleasures that she felt that she was allowed to have.

Although she admitted to herself that she was happy that Mills was going to get what he deserved, she felt upset that others around her were disturbed by his reaction, but it only went to justify her own disgust with him. And after seeing all this, she realizing that after today, he won't be worth her time to be concerned with him anymore.

<<Attention everyone>> said the announcer from inside the conference room. <<We're about to begin today's meeting shortly. At this time, we ask everyone to please join us. Thank you.>>

April turned to head inside the room, graciously smiling as she passed other around her.

That's when she smiled when she noticed Yuzu, sitting in her chair near the wall, watching her sister nearby at the conference table.

Yuzu sat on her chair not far away from Mei, who was sitting down at the large conference table working on her phone while the other clients were also moving around or sitting while discussing their affairs. Some of them would say hello while passing by as Mei would smile and respond to them before returning to her work.

Yuzu couldn't help but wonder what was on Mei's mind, confused by her request to speak with the clients before the conference started. She had no idea that Mei was going to do this, but she was guessing that it had something to do with her wanting to fix what happened with her presentation the other day.

But in a way, Yuzu began to realize that Mei would've done something like this anyways. There was no way that she would've left the firm without fixing anything, no matter how she was going to do it.

The only thing Yuzu did know was to give her lover the space she needed so she could work uninterrupted. Which was kind of a relief for her to notice that Mei was definitely back to her old self again.

She couldn't help but smile a little as she watched her future wife working, knowing that things were staring to go back to normal for them.

<<Attention everyone>> said the announcer at the podium. <<We're about to begin today's meeting shortly. At this time, we ask everyone to please join us. Thank you.>>

Yuzu sat up straight and adjusted her coat, trying to look professional as others began to enter the room. Even though she had been there all week, she still felt nervous trying to make a good impression.
