Chapter 115: Payback Time

After lunch, Rome drove back to Zoey's boutique. He asked Sapphire to pick any 2 clothes of her favorite designer.

Happy and ready for shopping, Sapphire checked out the clothes, line by line. Row by row.

"You can pick 2 more! Zoey uttered. Consider it a gift from me to commemorate you overcoming your heartbreak." Zoey added.

"Wow! Wait, since you're buying things for me, I'll... Pick this one!" She jerked over a pink sequine gown that had while tons on its chest for designs.

"Like seriously, do you know how much that gown costs? Don't let me shout at you! " Zoey blurted.

"I broke up with a guy and now I'm in tons of pain. I'm so miserable..." Sapphire pretended, acting as if she was actually crying.

Watching her, Rome and Zoey burst into laughter.

"Wow! You're never this sly before!"

"So would you buy this gown for me, please?" She wore a puppy look at Zoey.

"Okay, fine! Just take 2 more, making it six. I'll give you discount if you're going to buy, and it's only for today"

"She really looks excited these days. Fire eats and laughs well. I think she's gotten over it." Rome whispered calmly to his sister.

"Fire hates cream spaghetti." Zoey explained with a frown. "She's not alright."

Minutes later, Sapphire rushed with about twelve beautiful clothes. She placed them of Zoey's desk as she helped Sapphire folded it into three shopping bags.

"Oh my, like seriously? You're into clothes now, right?" Zoey joked as Sapphire joined in the laughter.

When Sapphire got home, dizziness stroke her like a thunderbolt. She dropped the bags and fell to her bed.  suddenly felt like she flying in the cloud and would fall anytime soon but she managed. Her chest hurt so much, she consumed the pain and very soon. She heard a loud rumbling from her stomach. Rushing to the toilet as if she'd left something there, Sapphire started puking, just then. She had diarrhea due to the cream spaghetti she'd forced herself to eat. She ate it just to make Roma and Sapphire happy. Deep inside, she was hurting really bad. There were more pictures of Gabby on her wall. He's also become very famous now.

A bit relieved, Sapphire walked to the fridge in her kitchen to grab a drink. She opened the bottle of chilled orange juice and gulped it down her throat.

It was could. Sapphire put on an oversized sweater and jeans shorts. She sat outside her apartment, thinking about life. But, nothing was fun truly without Jade in it.

'Ring! Ring!! Ring!!!'

Her phone buzzed, while she picked up.

"Hello Mum." Sapphire started.

"How are you? We've talked to his parents and they agreed that you two should meet."

"Oh, it's dad acquaintance, right?

"Yes my dear. He has all the qualities of Mr. Perfect. He'll love you."

"Okay then. I'll meet him"

"Make sure you don't end up crying on your first date."

"Sure mum. I'll do well. Bye." She ended the call right away.

Just then, a cold chill blew through with a light drizzle. Sapphire looked at the sky as she sprinkle on her shin.
