The early risers chirping to the morning sun beams peeking through the clouds. Colourful birds performing their morning rituals made the gentle, cool breeze blow through the white curtains. The light of dawn seeped into the beautiful mansion. With brightness covering the natural and man-made creations, the first rays of sun beamed through the window.

A smile stretched on sapphire's lips as she gently opened her eyes. Looking around, she remembered what happened last night and smiled even brighter. Stretching like a lazy cat, she noticed Jade wasn't beside her. Her eyes turned to the other corner of the room as she pulled out of bed, sitting upright.

"...Yes, I won't be coming to the hotel for a while. If there's anything important, forward it to my email address." Sapphire heard Jade's voice from the bathroom.

"Hello wifey." He walked up to her cupping her face into his palms. Then he gently placed peck on her cheek that made her chuckled softly at him in response.

"Hope you slept well?"

"Yes, hubby. I slept like a baby." She replied and suddenly giggled again.

The thought of both of them living together as a couple sounded cheesy romantic.

In no time, the couple came back home.

Jade dropped Sapphire home while we drove to B.B Museum.

He was awaiting his mum in her office when she come to meet him.

"What brings you here so early?" She asked with a little smile.

"Mum. I came for something important and I'd like it if you'd grant me my request." He looked serious.

"It's been a while since we met though. Is it about that girl again?" Kate took her seat beside Jade. "What's making you act so serious?"
She asked. Reading the look in his eyes.

"I...can't give up on Sapphire Blac." He admitted.

Kate went silent, remembering her last meeting with her parents. She wore a disappointed look at Jade.

"Are you seeing that girl again?"

"No, not yet." He lied. "I wanted to get your blessing first before doing so, mother."

"And what if I don't give you my blessing?" She raised an eyebrow.

"Well, I'd go ahead and marry her, mum. We'd grow old together..." Jade insisted.

"Why are you so interested in marrying her knowing both of you would probably get hurt, again?"

"I have to, mum. Because I can't bear seeing her marry another man. No way."

"What if it becomes so difficult? Won't you give up?"

"We've broken up once before... I thought I'd die without that girl by my side. She's the best part of me, mum. So, we'd be getting married." He stated.

Kate rolled her eyes at him. Knowing somehow, she'd have to face the family she'd considered, ungrateful once again.

Later that day, Jade took Sapphire to a restaurant where they had lunch and decided to visit her parents.

"Tell me a little about your parents." Jade requested.

"Well, my dad is an agriculturist. My mum is a pharmacist but she's also into online trading. They work together and they're kinda strict. I wouldn't say they're perfect but they're the best parents anyone would wish for."

"That's nice, really. Would they love to have me as their son-in-law?"

"I don't know but... They've always fantasized to have an agriculturist for a son-in-law. Just to inherit his business you know." Jade looked at her disgustingly as he frowned at the idea.
