INT. BB'S HOUSE - BB'S BEDROOM - NIGHT
BB, Kat, Maddy, Cassie and Lexi sit in BB's room. It is decked out like a third grade princess room on crack. Chloe x Halle sing distantly outside of the door as the party gets started while the girls pregame. Kat looks around, making a face.
KAT
BB, has your dad ever, like, talked to a teenage girl?
BB shrugs.
BB
I dunno, he and I mostly just text.
We twirl around the room, making a blur of the infantilizing decor.
RUE (V.O.)
BB and her dad had a special father-daughter relationship.
EXT. BB'S HOUSE - EARLIER THAT DAY
BB's DAD - 40 and balding with a wet blanket demeanor - and his GIRLFRIEND - not a day over 19 and chewing bubblegum to boot - wave goodbye to BB, Maddy, Kat, Cassie and Lexi as the couple drive away in a ridiculous mid-life-crisis yellow Porsche. The Girlfriend squeals as he peels out.
RUE (V.O.)
Every time he got a new girlfriend who was young enough to be BB's older sister, he vacated the house to let BB "process" things.
The girls smile and as the car pulls away, they all proceed to flip off the vehicle.
RUE (V.O.)
That was the one good thing about BB's dad being high key "comfortable."
The cab drives away and we pull out to see the monstrosity of a house the girls are heading inside of.
RUE (V.O.)
Which is just like the rich people word for filthy fuckin' rich.
EXT. BB'S HOUSE - TIME LAPSE:
We watch the sun set, the moon rise and the house light up as the party starts. "Plastic" by Unghetto Mathieu begins to bump from inside the house.
INT. BB'S HOUSE - ENTRYWAY
The camera moves through the front door following some newcomers. They greet friends and move towards the kitchen with their handles of liquor. We pass DANIEL lurking, per usual, in the hallway and the camera pans to find the object of his gaze. A couple freshmen girls are drinking and teasing each other in the living room.
INT. BB'S HOUSE - KITCHEN
The camera continues into the kitchen where ROY and TROY are laughing and blowing smoke rings. Everyone around them is laughing and dancing.
INT. BB'S HOUSE - LIVING ROOM
The camera moves through the kitchen and out the other side into a deeper part of the living room. Teens are posted up at the wet bar taking shots and doing lines off the marble counter top. A pile of kids lounge on the couch. The living room is completely lit by colored party lights.
