Sorry for the late update, I was stuck on how would I start this chapter :D

That blackmail still lingered out of your mind as you twisted your car key inside. There's no way he could do that to them, a monster that has no rules within. Your heart raced, hands lightly shaking as you combed your hair with your fingers, everything just felt different and worse

You pulled your SUV out from the dark corners where you parked and drove out bothered. The streets were empty, perfectly matching the emptiness inside you. Like, who wouldn't feel the same way as you who received blackmail from someone?

As you arrived into your home street around your village, found two black vehicles parked in front of your house, which was a black Chevrolet express van and an escalade. It does intrigue you but you decided to play cool and observe the unknown situation by parking your vehicle in the distance with your headlights turned off.

4 people were talking in the gate, one in casual clothes and the other three were in their black, cool-looking outfits with a guy in a leather jacket being in the middle of them. They seemed to be in an important matter, somehow like a business objective thing?

The guy in the middle handed an envelope to the guy on the other side and finally started entering the black SUV after the other guy slid the door open for him. You wanted to call your mother about this, but it's better not to disturb her this time.

As soon as they left, you drove your way towards the gate as you were caught off by the person standing off in front of the doorway.

"Dad ( In your language )" You slowly slid your window down, raising an eyebrow at him. Remembering what the guy said on the call before cutting the line off made you suspect your dad for something. But instead of attacking him directly with your suspicions, it was better to ride with the flow casually "What are you doing here outside this late night? It's dangerous ( In your language )"

He chuckled nervously, looking down as quickly moved his hand behind, hiding the envelope from you. "Refreshing myself again I guess? It's cold you know, fresh air or whatsoever ( In your language )"

Even though he's obviously lying in your face, you decided to play stupid "Oh I see dad ( In your language )" Slightly nodding in agreement, you slowly brought up the situation a while ago "Who are those guys in front of the gate awhile ago? I saw them left when I reached the electric pole right there" You narrowed your eyes, fingers tapping the leather-covered steering wheel

"Ah those guys" He grinned nervously, eyes wandering around the surroundings as he was nodding with every phrase he says "Those are my friends you know, co workers and they decided to visit me"

"Black vans? Black leather shirts? They should have worn something normally than those" You argued back

He groaned "There you go with your suspicions again, let's just head inside and fix yourself. It's late night, I guess you're drunk again" He began to walk back inside and hid the envelope once again for you. You got him and you decided not to lose your chance to ask your dad about this.

"Come on dad" You exited your vehicle hurriedly, leaving the door open, and decided to follow your dad inside the terrace. "You're acting suspiciously these days and I can't understand why?!"

Still no response from him, you immediately snatched the envelope out from his hiding hand as he flinched and gave you his look. You showed him the envelope away within his reach "Why are you hiding this away from me?"

"Just give me that" He tried his best to snatch the envelope out from your hand, unfortunately, it was high from his reach since you were taller than him "It's none of your business, I'm not even minding yours. It's just work"
