Both Rin and I ended up falling asleep sometime in the early morning, I think it was down to the comfortableness of the new furniture we had. Rin had fallen asleep first, I went to check on him when I heard the third episode of 'The Property Brothers' start playing and he was long gone by then. I threw a blanket over him and let him be, the sofas were big enough to substitute as beds anyways so I knew he was comfortable.

Although that didn't stop him from waking up as soon as the first car drove down the street in the morning, it was like his senses suddenly kicked in all at once and he flew into my bedroom, poking my face until I woke up.

"Come on! Get up! It's morning!" He ran over to my blinds, flinging them open and making me groan in frustration.

"Five more minutes? We've got a whole day before we have to do anything."

"Nope!" Rin said cheerfully, opening up my wardrobe, pulling out an outfit and throwing it onto the bed.

"Okay, fine," I grumbled in defeat, "go get changed, I'll be out in ten."

"Already changed," he stood proudly in front of me, "Now come on, we have to seize the day! I'll make some food while you get changed."

"Yeah, yeah, okay, you go do that," I pushed myself up onto my elbows, watching Rin run out of the room.

God, that kid has too much energy for the morning.

It took a lot of self-discipline to roll myself out of that bed, but after a few minutes, I managed, slowing standing myself up and grabbing the clothes Rin had thrown at me.

Wait Rin- he's never cooked before.

I flung open my door and looked over to the kitchen, where Rin was pulling bowls out of the cupboards. Everything seemed to be going okay, I mean, he's never used an oven before so there's no way he would know how to turn it on. Right?

The single thought that Rin could quite possibly burn down the house spurred me on to get changed as quickly as possible and I was out of that room before All Might could say 'I am here'.

"Whatcha made kiddo?" I asked, skidding over to the counter, attempting to act very casual when of fact my mind was already picturing the ruins of a burnt down apartment. Though he hasn't made it to the oven, instead I watched the boy put two spoons in two separate bowls.

Oh thank god, he found the cereal.

"Okay, please remember that I don't know how to cook."

Wait- so he did try to cook something?

I chuckled, "Don't worry kid, neither do I."

He placed the bowl in front of me.

Oh.

He didn't try to cook something.

"Rin?"

"Yeah?"

"This is ice."

"Yeah."

"As much as I enjoy eating it, it's not food," I smiled, trying not to laugh, "Look, we both don't know how to cook, so how about we go out for breakfast?"

He nodded.

"Let me just get some stuff and we'll go," I went back into my room, opening up the small suitcase the driver had given me the previous day.

In it was two different hefty looking files, both of them I assumed to be on the hero and villain organisation we were meant to be investigating, beside those was a simple black wallet. Opening it up, a note fell out, detailing just how much was on the card in there.
