On the first full day of living in commission provided accommodation, I was woken up by a feather, not the alarm I had set to go off thirty minutes later.

"Wha- What the?" Somehow Hawks' little bothersome feather, which appeared to have a mind of its own, had broken out of its bedside confinement and decided to poke my face until I showed signs of consciousness. The thing must have decided to not stop until I got out of bed either, since every five seconds, I had to shield my eyes so that they wouldn't become shish kebabs. "I swear Takami- I don't know if you can hear me, but if you don't stop right now, I will set fire to your feather."

He must have heard me because almost immediately, the feather flew over to the window sill and just... rested there. Suspicious as all hell, but the thing had stopped and therefore, I could get ready for the day in peace- thirty minutes early that was- but hey, the early bird catches the worm.

Jeeze, Hawk was even working his way into my vocabulary.

Rin and I had managed to acquire a range of different clothing on our day of shopping, smart, not smart, you know, the two categories of clothing. The first day of work seemed like a smart day and so I picked out an outfit that looked relatively similar to that of some woman on the news programme the other day. Before getting changed though, I did end up throwing a blanket over Hawks' feather, if it could hear me, there was a very high chance that he might be able to see me too, and I wasn't risking it.

I had time, so I changed at my own pace, finishing just as my actual alarm went off, alongside the one in Rin's room. I heard his alarm get turned off almost immediately, his door being thrown open only a few minutes later alongside the sound of the TV turning on.

Before leaving the room, I grabbed the large folder of information about the Clover Agency the Comission had provided,

"You were quick," I noted, coming out of my room and walking over to the kitchen, "want anything to eat?"

Rin's head poked over the back of the sofa, "Can we have that cereal I picked out?"

"That's why we bought it."

He vaulted himself over the sofa, quickly grabbing two bowls and spoons out of the cupboards and placing them in front of me.

I smiled, it was endearing to see him so excited about such menial things. TV, ice, shopping and today, cereal.

We sat down at the counter and I slid the folder down to where Rin was, positioning his ear right next to the food, his eyes lighting up with excitement, "it makes a sound."

I nodded, eating a spoonful,, "it does. Now, I hate to interrupt your cereal moment, but we have to go through-" I gestured to the file, not knowing what to call it, "-this."

Rin sighed, sitting up and taking a spoonful of his cereal.

"Okay," I clapped my hands together, opening up the first page of the file. The page was covered with random facts about the pro-hero 'Clover' or 'Hakaru Makuda'. His age, his parents' names, every single house he's ever lived in, the name of his three different pets, they had something for everything, some things I didn't think I'd ever need either. They had so much, it almost felt like this mission was pointless since they had so much on the guy already. But I guess that they didn't have enough.

There was a point where I stopped taking in the information. I didn't feel like I needed to remember what the name of his childhood best friend was, I could use that part of my brain to retain the strengths and weaknesses of his quirk, you know, the important stuff.

"So the guy has endless luck?" Rin asked, folding the corner of the page we were on over and over.

"Only when he activates his quirk by... winking?."
