What if this happens?

***

2 years earlier:

"We've found a match for you, you really need to take some time for yourself." Mar says.

"Really?" Mitch gasps.

"Yes. There is a family who wants to help you. They have a child too, a daughter Sarina, she's 1 year younger than Kyran. Sarina will go to the same school as Kyran later. The family is willing to meet you and Kyran, to see if there's a match first." Mar tells.

"That's fantastic!" Mitch smiles widely.

"Great, I'll make sure to make an appointment for you then." Mar nods.

"Thank you..."

-

Mitch rings the doorbell.

"Remember to behave." Mitch tells Kyran.

Kyran nods.

"I will, dad." Kyran says softly.

A tall blonde man opens the door.

"Hello, you must be Mitch, I'm Scott." Scott says.

Mitch's mouth falls open, wow.

"And who are you?" Scott asks the little boy.

"I'm Kyran. Nice to meet you, Sir." Kyran says.

"Aww, you can call me Scott. Come in." Scott smiles.

Mitch and Kyran enter Scott's house.

"Nice house." Mitch compliments.

"Thank you." Scott says.

Mitch looks around and then his eyes falls on some Christian quotes and Jesus statues.

"Oh no..." Mitch whispers to himself.

"This is Sarina. Say hi to Mitch and Kyran, baby." Scott says as he picks his daughter up.

"Hi Sarina." Kyran smiles.

"She's a bit shy." Scott explains.

"Totally understandable." Mitch says.

"Do you want something to drink? My wife will be here #soon." Scott asks.

"Water please, for us both." Mitch answers.

"But dad..." Kyran starts.

"That's a no for me, Kyran." Mitch says sternly.

They sit down and some minutes later a good looking lady joins them.

She greets Scott with a kiss and picks Sarina up.

"Hi, I'm Kirstin. Scott's wife." Kirstin introduces herself.

"Hi, Kirstin. I'm Mitch and this is Kyran." Mitch smiles.

"Nice to meet you. I'm sure you've seen we are church members." Kirstin says.

"Yes, I've seen some... stuff..." Mitch says kindly.

"Yeah, we saw that someone needed help and we want to offer that." Scott explains.

"Oh, of course. Yes. I am a single dad of this one here. I have my hands full with mainly everything and my social worker told me that there was an option that families could help me to get some time for myself. I really need that. My household is a disaster." Mitch tells.

"It's not that bad." Kyran says.

"Glad you like it, I don't." Mitch laughs.

Scott's and Mitch's eyes lock for a moment.
