-Five days later-

"Oh my god," I groan, shoving my head into my pillow. I could still hear the muffled shouting that was keeping me up at night. It's been like this for the past six nights since I came home from my jog with Vanessa.

Dad and Kory have been arguing none stop about the damn wedding. I grab my phone that was plugged in to charge over night. The clock read ten minutes to three AM. I open the drawer and pull out my head phones and plug them in. I scroll through my playlist and choose a song by My Chemical Romance and put the volume on full blast.

Honestly, the argument's they've been having were so stupid. Wether if Kory was upset with the food choices, guest lists or about the damn location. I know they picked out a few places a head of time but Kory's been changing her mind back and forth.

"You don't understand, Mindy Green can't be put next to Jack Anderson! Those two put next to each other would just cause hell to break lose, don't you understand?!" Kory yells. "So move her to another table!" Dad yells back. "I can't because Mindy wants to be up front and center and I can't move Jack becaue he is a close, old buisness partner of mine."

"Yeah but it wasn't all buisness that was going on." Dad interjected.

Holy crap he did not just say that.

"Excuse me?!"

"Oh just shut the frick up." I groan. The music wasn't helping and their yelling was just getting worse. I didn't want to call Vanessa or Austin. I hesitantly unlock my phone and find the name I was looking for.

It takes some courage but I press their name and let it ring for a bit.

"Hello?" Their sleepy voice mumbles.

"I'm sorry, I know it's late but I need to talk to someone and I made myself a promise to not call a few other people... can we meet up?"

"So... what was so important that you had to see me?" Chris asks, closing the door behind him.

I shrug, digging my hands deep into my pockets. "Oh come on, we're pretty close now." He teases, nudging my shoulder with his as we walk off his families property.

"My dad and soon to be step mom were fighting and they've been at it for the past six nights, I just had to get out of there." I explain.

Chris stays quiet for a moment, "I know how you feel... until my dad met your mom he wasn't the best dad out there. I guess that explains why i'm such a screw up." He shrugs, his eyes kept on the gravel we were walking on.

I stop him, pulling on his arm. "That's not true," I whisper, making him look up. "You aren't a screw up."

I just noticed how much taller Chris was than me. His bright blue eyes peered down at me. He had a grey beanie on but you could that see his dark coloured hair was a little messy due to bedhead but his bright red streak peaked out from his beanie in the darkness of the night.
