Kennedy (Also now known as Ashley):

Home.

I was finally back home in Seattle.

"Kennedy!" I spun and ran straight into the arms of my bestfriend. "Dyl," I breathed out. His arms tightened around me, pressing me even futher into his arms. "How was visiting your dad? Becca and I missed you." I hated this, lying to my only best friend. It wasn't all a lie since I did visit my dad.

"It was good, I might be going back in a few weeks, the whole family might be there this time so I mean why not." I shrug. "Cool, let's get going, Becca really wants to see you." He grins, helping me with my bags. I didn't bring much back, just a suitcase and my small carry on. I need to call Ashley again, I need to figure out what she did while I was gone because im starting to think that there was more to it. "Keep up, Kendall." Dylan joked, bringing me out of my blank thoughts. (A/N: If you guys don't remember, people call her Kendall as a nickname sometimes, mostly Dylan though)

I'm practically behind in school so I decided to take online course to get where I need to be and to pass my courses. I obviously coundn't fly back to Seattle everytime I had to go to University so the better option was to take my classes online. I could applie to some online Unversity like Dylan's older brother did. Dyl's older brother, Ryan, took online college to catch up since it was easier for him and now he's happily engaged and getting married soon with his masters degree. It worked out well for him. I don't plan on needing my dad's money, espically now that he's going to be spoiling Kory with it.

Dylan drives me back to my apartment and we relax a bit, waiting for Becca. When there was a knock at the door, I felt the palms of my hands getting sweaty. I opened the door and gave my best fake smile to my boss. "Kennedy!" She threw her amrs around me, squeeing the life out of me. "How was your trip? I was so sad when you left that note saying you quit." She pouted as she walked in, closing the door behind her. Wait, quit?

I'm going to pull Ashley's hair out when I see her. I actually like my job at bookaholic. I've grown close to Rebecca even though she's my boss. Sorry, was. Becca is a sweet girl and she never treated me like some employee. It was more as friends because, well, that's what we are. Sure, I wasn't as close with her as I was with Dylan but we are still friends.

"I know, I'm sorry I just needed to focus on what I needed to do next because I've missed so much from back home, my dad is, um, getting re married."

"Really? That's great, Kenn!" She squeled and Dylan gave me a bright smile. I decided to leave out the detail that the future bride was my cousin.

"Wait, when's the wedding?"

"Well, in a few weeks im going back to California for some dinner, I might stay there for a bit, depending on what would be happening next."

Dylan pouted, "What, you're leaving again? Oh come on, I just got my bestfriend back!"

"I'm sorry, Dyl." I shuffled over and hugged him again. I truly did miss Dylan and my life here in Seattle. It was so much for calming. I didn't have to worry about my dad's stupid affair/engagment, I didn't have to worry about being friends with amazingly sweet people i've known for a month, I didn't have to be worried about being hated by my younger sister and I didn't have to worry about pretending to be someone's girlfriend.

~four days later~

I've spent the last few days hanging out with Dylan and Rebecca. Today it was just Dylan and I because Rebecca had to go back to managing the book store since Marie and Tyler, two of the employes who worked there, took the day off and they would be short with staff.

"Dylan?"

"Hmm."

We were currently louging around my living room, watching old episodes of 'Friends' on Netflix. "You know what I really want to do?" I grinned from the idea that popped up into my head. "What?"

"I think I want to dye my hair." I grinned.

So thats what I did.

We went to a hair salon and I got it trimmed with an now light brown hair. It was different from my blonde hair but I liked it. It was even better since Justin wound't suspect a thing when I go back to California as me and not Ashley. Dylan suggested I get the tips dyed or even my whole head but I thought that would be a little too extreme. I was only going to have my hair dyed like this for a few weeks until I would have to leave my life of being me to going back to be Ashley.

"You look nice, Kenn." Dylan mused as he glanced up from his phone.

"You really think so?"

He nodded giving me a soft smile. Gosh I missed my best friend. It was really good to be back.
