"Daryl, you cover the back" Shane commanded as we all stared at the open door in front of us. We all entered the doors
"Hello? Hello?" Rick asked
"Close those doors" Shane said. We all walked around cautiously
"Hello?" Rick asked. We heard a gun cock and we all turned
"Anybody infected?" The man asked
"One of our group was. He didn't make it" Rick said. I questioned why he said that, I mean realistically, that's the last thing you want to say when someone has a gun aimed at you, especially if they're jumpy
"Why are you here? What do you want?" The man asked as he slowly got closer
"A chance" Rick said
"That's asking an awful lot these days" The man said
"I know" Rick said. The man looked at all of us
"You all submit to a blood test. That's the price of admission" The man said
"We can do that" Rick said. The man lowered his gun
"You got stuff to bring in, you do it now. Once this door closes, it stays closed" He said. We all ran out and grabbed our stuff. We then came back. Dale and T-Dog closing the doors behind us
"Vi, seal the main entrance. Kill the power up here" He said. The shutters went down
"Rick Grimes" Rick said
"Dr. Edwin Jenner" the man said. He led us all to an elevator and we all got on. The elevator went down
"Doctors always go around packing heat like that?" Daryl asked
"There were plenty left lying around. I familiarized myself. But you look harmless enough. Except you. I'll have to keep my eye on you" Jenner said to Carl. A grin appareaded on Carl's face and I couldn't help but smile. The elevator stopped and the doors opened. Jenner led us out
"Are we underground?" Carol asked
"Are you claustrophobic?" Jenner asked
"A little" She responded
"Try not to think about it" Jenner said leading us into a dark room
"Vi, bring up the lights in the big room" Jenner said. The lights came on
"Welcome to Zone 5" Jenner said
"Where is everybody? The other doctors, the staff?" Rick asked as we continued walking only to then stop
