MORNING STAR

I was on my way to Hilltop along with the others. We had brought most of the kids considering the Whisperers had gotten into Alexandria. When we got in, we were greeted by Earl

"Hey. Hey! Who is that?" Earl asked me and Aaron

"Hi Earl. It's Mary. She, uh, ran away from Alpha's camp. She's been helping us out" Aaron said

"What's she doing here?" Earl asked

"Her nephew is, uh, Adam. She wants to see him" Aaron said. Earl scoffed

"No" Earl said

"Can't we talk about this?" I asked him

"You said you were gonna bring people who wanted to see Alex- not one of our enemies that wants to see my son" Earl said

"She's not an enemy" Aaron said

"You don't know that. You keep her away from my kid" Earl said as he began to walk away. Alden followed after him

"This is gonna be rough" I said

"You're telling me" Aaron said. Taylor approached us

"Hey guys, long time no see" She said

"Yeah, a lot of shit has happened" I said

"I've heard, I'm sorry about Siddiq" She said

"Thank you" I said

"I'm glad to see that Hilltop is looking better" Aaron said

"It took a lot of effort but we're getting by" Taylor said

"Where's Lee?" I asked

"He's out with a group that's hunting at the moment. Where's Daryl?" Taylor asked

"I don't know" I told her. She didn't like the sound of that

"You don't know?" She asked

"I don't know. They were supposed to be looking for Lydia, and it all went to hell. I haven't seen him since he left with Carol" I told her

"We should sent out a grou-" I cut her off

"Knowing that asshole, he's fine" I said

"You're probably right" She said

I was sitting around waiting. The kids had ran of to go play. I didn't really have anything to do, and I was seriously missing Daryl. It was if my prayers had been answered when I heard a familiar engine rumbling. I looked over to see Daryl on his motorcycle. I got up and saw that Lydia was behind him on the bike. I rushed over as he stopped the bike. He was covered in blood

"Any sign of them?" Yumiko asked

"We didn't get that far" Daryl said
