Happy Halloween everyone! I really hope y'all enjoy this imagine! 😉

Y/n's POV

At long last, my boyfriend Michael came out of the studio and plopped down in the chair next to me, relieved to have finally finished recording his song Thriller for his upcoming album of the same name. I just know it's gonna do so well when he releases it! But Michael, being the perfectionist that he is, wasn't satisfied with anything that didn't meet his strict standards. Once he sat down, I turned to him and smirked.

"Was that the last take Mr. Perfectionist?"

Michael chuckled at his new nickname. "Girl, I'm not a perfectionist."

"Really? The last five hours you spent hammering out that one detail in your song say otherwise."

Michael playfully looked taken aback before we both ended up in laughter.

"I am so glad to finally be done with that song! Now all we gotta do is make the short film. Gosh, it really wore me out."

I certainly agreed. Michael for sure looked rather tired. I tried to think of ways to help out until I got an idea.

"Hey, how about we go to a movie at the local theatre! We can watch a romantic or comedy movie since you don't like horror. And since it's Halloween night, I'm sure there won't be any people going to a movie that's not horror."

Michael thought about this for awhile until he turned to me and smiled.

"I like that idea! And it has been so long since we got to go out together." He scratched the back of his neck with an apologetic look. "I'm sorry about that baby."

I kissed his cheek. "It's ok Mikey. I know your work is important to you. Now, let's get to that movie already!"

With newfound enthusiasm, we leaped up and dashed for my car. Luckily, we were able to find a good parking place close to the theatre. Michael and I walked up to the person behind the booth and asked for two tickets to one of their shows. With wide eyes, he handed them to us without another word as we walked inside to buy some snacks and practically skipped to the appropriate screening room.

Luckily for us, it was just the two of us in the audience so we were free to do as we pleased. And of course, the first thing that came to our mind was...

"Food fight!" Michael yelled just before he threw a handful of popcorn at my face and laughed his head off. My face contorted in disbelief before I too took a handful of popcorn and faced him.

"Oh it's on Jackson."

He started running to the side but I got him just before he did, popcorn decorating his hair. Soon, we both were screaming laughing as we ran all along the theatre throwing our snacks at each other. The entire floor was strewn with popcorn, something I was sure the cleaners would get angry at us about.

Eventually, we decided put our miniature war on hold to clean off the popcorn from ourselves. We sat down with our clothes now covered in popcorn butter, giggling and watching the movie while we ate the remaining snacks we had instead of throwing them at each other.

Awhile into the movie, I was giggling about the scene and turned to Michael to make a funny comment, but he was missing. I was absolutely baffled as I was sure he was there not even a minute ago. I tried to reason with myself that he just went to the restroom, but I hadn't even heard him get up. Deciding to look for him, I stood up from my chair. A dizziness overcame me, probably from all that running I did earlier, and I ended up sitting back down. But when I sat down, it wasn't in the same chair from the theatre. Alarmed, I opened my eyes, only to receive the shock of my life.
