As the man who was in his early 30's steps inside his house for the night he does a double take. "Doors are locked" he gruffly mumbled to himself before being lured into the kitchen by the smell of food
He walked into the kitchen and saw the short woman at the stove cooking dinner. "Smells good" he said in a low tone, just wanting this moment alone with the love of his life before his "brat" comes and finds him
"Thanks... 'm using your moms curry recipe" the brunette smiles as the tired man practically leans on her
"How's the book coming?" He asks her, trying to engage in some type of conversation while he can. He knows how hard his wife works in a day so he uses every opportunity to talk to her before she's down for the night
"Meh...not making as much progress as I liked but it's getting somewhere. I need an angsty ending but I'm not sure how I'm gonna approach it yet" she rambled as she poured the contents into the 3 bowls
"Want extra?" Lou asks her husband as he goes to get off of her. "Nah...new brat needs it" he says while running a hand over her barely visible bump. "Remember keep this on the down low" Lou reminds her husband
As much as Bakugo would deny it, he loves the idea of having another baby. He was ecstatic when the doctor told them the news 2 weeks ago and he was practically dying on the inside to not brag about it
"Only Becca and Shitty hair know I assume?" He asks as he gets up to go find his daughter
"Obviously" Lou chuckles as she puts the bowls on the dining room table
"So how was your day?" Bakugo asks his daughter as he feeds the 3 year old her dinner. "I hab- pi ure" she says excitedly
"She took pictures with the horses" Lou tells him as he acts like he understands his daughter to keep her happy. She's a quiet child much like Lou. However when she's angry (which is rare) she becomes a mini Katsuki Bakugo
"Well I can't wait for you to show me" Bakugo smiles at the young child. Most people would get medical attention for him if they ever saw the pro hero Dynamite smiling. But those extras don't get to see him behind closed doors
"I laid brat down" Katsuki said as he walks into the kitchen. "Take your meds" he demands as he watches Lou wash dishes as he begins to dry them and put them away
"I will..." Lou says before continuing to wash the plates and bowls
"Good... I'll be watching you" he says which is supposed to come off as a threat but Lou knows that he means well
"Alright I'm gonna go take a shower and- Louise Bakugo!" He says as she's at her desk writing some more prompts. "Go take a shower" she waves him off
"Write the last one and I'm carrying you to bed" he gruffly says "But Kat-"
"Nope!Sleep is good for you and the baby so let's get a move on here"
"You're not fun" she mumbled as he carries her to bed "Maybe not but I can show you a good time in the bed if y-"
"Nope not in the mood" Lou says quickly before he can get any ideas
"Ok I'm all showered you're all tucked in? Alright Killer come on up" he says patting the bed for the Australian Shepard to lay at the bottom of the bed as per usual
The big dog spins in a circle a bit before finally settling down and snuggling into itself
"I love you" Katsuki says as he spoons with his wife who mumbles a faint "I love you too"
He's about to close his eyes when he gets the usual urge to go check on Yuki
"I'll be back" he says before leaving the room and walking down the hall to where his daughter is sleeping
"Goodnight munchkin" he says before kissing her cheek and covering her with the blanket she's slightly kicked off of herself and picking her stuffed 'Dynamite' up off the ground
Then he pauses and sees her "Red Riot" pajamas "you little traitor" he chuckles to himself before leaving the room
As he slickly tries to get back in bed Lou grumbles something and wakes up "Suki what's wrong?"
"Just had to check on brat...she's fine"
"She always is" Lou trails off
"What's on your mind?" Katsuki asks curiously. He's been married to her long enough to know when something is wrong
"Nothing really it's just... well to be complete honest with you I've been having some doubts" Lou admits as she subtly scoots away from her husband who was curiously listening
" 'bout what?" He asks her in his usual deep voice
"You aren't ever upset with me? I mean more specifically do you think of yourself as a rebound from when I was with Izuku all those years ago... 12 to be exact"
"Why bring it up now Lou?" He questions
"Just been feeling that way" She admits to him
"No...I'm glad you chose me. At first I was skeptical to be honest but I see that you love me I guess... ya know all that mushy bologna or whatever"
"Well I do love you Kat"
"I love you too... get some sleep h-" and before he could finish his sentence he heard her soft snores.
He kisses her forehead and mumbles "I'm happy to have the honor of being yours"
