"You're jealous, aren't you?" You narrowed your eyes and put your arm on the table to support your chin so you could pull yourself closer to Scarlett who was sitting at the other edge of the table.

"No, I'm not jealous," she insisted, but her face said otherwise. "I'm just," she hesitated for a while to find a word that could replace what was in her mind and said, "Curious."

"Hmm, really?" You smirked with one of your eyebrows raised because you knew what her mind was thinking. You knew she was lying. You stood up with your hands in your pockets and walked to her side, then proceeded to sit on the edge of the table. You pushed your cheeks with your tongue and looked down at her.

Frustration and fury were written all over her face. She saw how you and your colleague interacted with each other just now and she was mad at you. However, she was not even your girlfriend and she swore that she would never fall for a nerd like you, even though her actions speak louder than her words. She had no valid reason to be bitter about your flirty action with other women so you were interested to see how she could find her excuse other than confessing her love for you.

"Then, tell me why you're here," you asked even though you knew what the answer was.

"What? A grown woman can't visit the college that nurtured her into who she is now? Are you gatekeeping this college?" She crossed her arms and leaned back on the chair.

"No, you have the right to step into the campus whenever you want. But," you stood up again and walked to her other side with hands still in your pockets and leaned onto the table to see her face, "why my office?"

A sense of guilt swooned over her face like a tornado took over a town. She looked down and fidgeted her fingers. You betted her brain was brainstorming a coverup to answer your question.

"You were a Performing Arts graduate. Logically, you would be in the block over there, hanging out with the professors or the college theatre kids or digging up your archived folio. But, this, is Science Department. Do you need a cadaver or something? If yes, wrong office, again. Bio and Med are downstairs. I only talk about Physics and Mathematics," you explained your doubt to her.

"Couldn't I relive my college life and also visit my friend?" She looked up and smiled. You knew she lied again because that was not a sincere smile.

"Fine," you held your hands up as a sign that you accepted her answer and went on, "but why did you burst into my office without knocking and throwing multiple questions about my colleague at me? Do you have a crush on her?" You grinned and agitated to see her reaction.

"What? NO!" She shouted at you with her eyes widened. You laughed at her exaggerated reaction.

"I-" just as she tried to explain herself, someone knocked on the door. You got off the table immediately and tidied yourself up before answering the knock.

"Hi! Y/n, it's lunchtime. Do you wanna get something from the cafeteria- Oh, I'm sorry I didn't know you have a guest. Wait, are you- are you?" The person behind the door walked into the room and stuttered as she saw a Hollywood actress sitting on your guest's chair. Coincidentally, that was the same person she was jealous of.

"Yes, she is. This is Cierra, my colleague, work wife, real life best friend. Her office is just next door and we always have lunch together," you introduced your colleague to her. She stood up unwillingly and shook hand with her "arch-enemy", at least that was what was in her mind. You pressed your mouth downward upon the scene to suppress your anticipation for the revenge she was going to carry out.
