'tasha?..."
"y/n whats- are you o- you sounds like you're crying??"
"tash i don't like this party. please come get me"
"oh sure sure, i just need to-"
"tasha come get me  now. please."
"of course..."
she stumbles over her words down the phone and you hung up before causing her any more concern. It was just supposed to be a fun party. But you know they say...boy will be boys. You get the message-

you had to leave. So you called the one person who always fixes everything. Natasha.

Head in your hands, barely holding back stifled sobs, you felt the cracking of the pavement beneath yourself and the cool air ascending off of the concrete beneath you as it mixed and mingled with the toxins in the air above.  you were barely holding out, you  just wanted to go home. You heard a sharp braking of tires on the road infront of you and thought nothing of it, it was a road, there were gonna be cars. It was only when you heard the door close that you lifted your head weakly to see what was going on, from behind the car emerged nat. She held a smile but her concern shone through like a mirror. she approached with caution and sat down beside you, leaving very little space between you both.

'hey' she spoke softly and you returned a sad smile. she closed the gap between you and wrapped her arm around you tightly as you burrowed your head into her shoulder, inhaling her familiar scent.

You stayed like that for a while until- just as you were about to fall asleep -you felt two warm hands lift you off of the rough concrete and you subconsciously latched onto Natasha's body, wrapping your legs comfortably around her waist as she stroked your back soothingly. Nat placed you in the passenger seat of her car and strapped you in before getting in herself. She flipped the car on and brought her hand up to cup your cheek, and sent a sympathetic look before pulling into the main road and driving back to the compound. The faint sound of 'Stranger in the Alps' by Phoebe Bridgers playing in the background, Natasha singing softly, quietly to the lyrics, pausing and lifting your hand every few minutes to place reassuring kisses in your palm.

Once you pulled into the compound she turned off the car and without saying anything, lifted you up and carried you back to your room, whispering sweet words of comfort into your ear the entire time. She carried you into her room, took your shoes off, helped you change into an oversized tee and shorts borrowed from her and wiped your makeup off gently all before climbing into bed with you. Laid down next to eachother, you turned to face natasha;
'thank you' you mumbled weakly. She stoked the hairs out of your face and smiled back at you before placing a soft kiss on your lips.
'do you wanna talk about it?' she offered cautiously and you thought for a second. the nights events rushing back to you and causing a tear to fall from your frozen expression. She knew you better than anyone and that meant that she also knew you'd tell her in due time -and you did- so she simply wiped the tear from your cheek and stroked it gently, soothing you with her calm rasp that told you it was okay, and that you were loved.

Natasha turned off the lamp next to your bed and  you snuggled into eachother and watched the stars from your window as you fell asleep. ' tasha?'
'y/n?'
'i love you'
'i love you more. goodnight sweetheart' you smiled at her words and fell into a deep sleep in the warm embrace of your favourite person.
