Squirrels:

3 0 0

The enlarged one stopped upon sight,
we stared upon each other's bodies;
aware and frozen, we recognized each twitch and breath, branching amongst a stroke of life
inhaling and exhaling the constants of change.

The enlarged stepped forward.
We scurried to our dwelling,
clawing and scratching amongst the wrinkled bark,
gripping onto our ancient father of age, where we were miniscule.

The enlarged one seemed to observe again, he stared patiently, queuing for a still moment, we now gazed upon each other;
what does the enlarged one see?
what does he see amongst thee?
maybe it is our profound tree!
he gestures away with sincerity.
striding away frantically,
away from us you see.
