alembic solitude

alembic solitude:
There is something within you that wishes to move out.
For it is silent and still,
awaiting for the realization.

That one's heart can remember that all the beauty
in animals and plants is a quiet enduring form of love and longing.

Awaiting for the realization
that one can see animals, as one sees plants,
patiently and willingly uniting and increasing, and growing
not upon physical delight, not out of turbulence,
but bowing to necessities greater than pleasure and pain
and more powerful than will and withstanding.

Yet still, one can be burned in spirit.
Within a heart that has grown silent,
burning within memories that have seized and carved.
