Song is We're Good by Dua Lipa.
Third-Person POV-
"Well," Brock started after the door shut, "That wasn't how I wanted that to go, but it was how I thought it would go. Welcome to the team, guys."
It was a half-hearted welcome because he had hoped it would have been to more of them. He didn't want to have another run in with them because they wouldn't have a choice on taking them down. There was no way after everything that had happened that day that people hadn't made the connection between the two groups. They would think that the Resistance was playing favorites if they ignored the BBS, or didn't at least try to stop them.
"I thought at least Marcel would have stayed," John said, "With how much he's come to visit recently and bitched about Evan and everything, I figured he was over dealing with the asshole."
Jaren cuddled up to him, "He might just be scared. I mean, after everything that happened, I would be if I were in his shoes. He was almost shot by some losers, saved by his badass boyfriend and his friends, made to battle David and Brock, and had to deal with his 'boss' being a bitch baby the whole time. I would have just agreed with Evan and left too. We are kinda crazy, so why would he pick us?"
"No, yer crazy," David said, "T'e rest of us are jus' a little outside left field."
John snorted, "That must be a pretty big left field if you're only a little bit outside it."
David threw a crumpled wrapper at him before starting to clean things up.
"At least your guys talked to you. For being the biggest one out of all of us, Tyler is such a baby," Craig whined.
"Would you have actually listened to anything he had to say?" Scott asked, knowing the answer.
"No, but he could have at least tried. He didn't even try!" Craig wailed, throwing his arms in the air before collapsing onto himself.
Brian went over and wrapped his arm around him, "He'll come round. You know he loves you, man."
"He didn't even try," came a muffled sob from the ball of Craig.
"I think he's more scared of how you would react than of Evan if that's what you're worried about," Brian squeezed his shoulders, "You're a force to be reckoned with when you're mad you know. I would be scared if I were him. I got stupid lucky, falling for Mr. Passive over there. It takes someone with real strength to be with you, and you know that Tyler has that strength."
Brock rolled his eyes at the comment while Craig sniffed and rubbed his nose, "That's true I guess. I am a bit much at times."
They all laughed. Craig had always been the most dramatic out of all of them. They had no idea why Tyler put up with half of what he did, but you could see the love in his eyes as he did it.
"Let's head to bed," Brock said, "We've all had a long day, and I know I at least want some sleep."
Everyone nodded. Brian glanced up at him.
"You can either sleep in my room or in a guest room. It's up to you. Same with you, John. Only with you know, Jaren, and not me," he answered his unspoken question.
"If you choose a guest room, I'm smacking you," Scott said.
Brian chuckled, grabbing Brock's hand, dragging him towards the stairs, "I hadn't planned on it, but thanks for letting me know. Just don't get too down at anything you might hear."
He winked as Brock blushed, and they disappeared up the stairs.
"And with that image forever seared into my brain, I'm going to try and sleep before they get loud," Craig said, over his mood about Tyler. He pulled Scott to his feet and shooed him upstairs before following, knowing that the man would stay up for hours if he didn't.
