The racoon skittered in its position, uncomfortable.

Tommy decided to keep the poor guy.

Named him Henry.

He comes by not too often, and Tommy leaves him some grapes or leftovers he had brought.

Once the fucking thief stole his mud sandwich at break.

Little prick.

-----

Tommy was at the café, like normal.

Well, what do you think he'll be doing?

Dying?

Nope, not yet.

He was bored to death, simply rolling a pen across the counter.

Shroud was at the back, and so was Henry.

It was quiet, which was strange.

Oh god.

Did Henry kill Shroud?

He immediately sat up and went outside, to the alley at the back.

What he saw surprised him.

Shroud was cawing at Henry, who was currently baring her teeth.

"What the fuck-" Tommy exclaimed, watching in awe as both animals turned to Tommy.

Shroud immediately flew to his head, nestling in it while squawking proudly.

Henry, meanwhile, skittered towards his leg and curled around it.

"Get off the you shits." He said, sighing fondly. "Were you fucking arguing over me?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.

Shroud guiltily chirped, lowering his head.

Tommy cackled.

"I can't have you two here if you are just going to fight over me like the clingy shits you are." Tommy laughed, wiping a tear.

Henry let out a simple chitter, nuzzling her nose into his ankle.

Tommy crouched to sweep up Henry, gently stroking her.

He chuckled at how the raccoon immediately melted in his arms, body sprawled out all over his arms.

He then returned inside the café, animals still at bay.

Henry was enjoying herself while sipping a small bowl containing some nuts he had brought,

Shroud was pecking on some seeds placed on the till.

They were doing some mad declaration of independence shit over there.

He could tell.

Then, Tommy escaped from his smiling phase.

First it was the crows, then Shroud, now Henry.
