Going Places: (Y/N) chose to go with Emily and Matt.
I should go with Em and Matt. Mike and Jess seem to be able to handle themselves just fine and Emily's probably gonna vent this all out to me at some point so better I be there for her now.
"I'll come with."
You said, walking towards Emily and Matt. Em's head snapped towards you swiftly and she looked you up and down before smiling a little. Behind you, you heard Jess make a sound.
"You wanna go with that whore? Be my fucking guest, (n/n)."
Everyone watched as the blonde turned on her heel and stormed out of the dimly lit room.
Oh God...Looks like I actually upset her...
"Sorry guys."
Mike apologized before giving a small wave and following after Jess. You sighed.
"I gotta give them the key. Be back soon."
Josh said simply, waiting a moment before also leaving the room.
Everyone who remained sat around silently or occupied themselves with the fireplace. You sat down in an armchair. You rested your chin on the palm of your hand as you watched Chris fiddle with the fireplace.
"It's not on you, you know, (n/n)."
Matt whispered as he stood next to you, making sure Emily couldn't hear his words. And you knew it wasn't on you. It was on Em for starting this thing, and then on Jess for turning it into a huge catfight, but you felt a little guilty about it nonetheless.
"It really isn't. Don't feel bad about this. You know how they get."
You smiled feebly. You sure did know.

"Thanks Matt."
He patted you on the shoulder a few times.
"Anytime."
Josh must've taken this as his cue to make his return as he strolled back into the living room.
"Okay gang, the Mike and Jess train has departed so you three may also leave. You'll already be going the opposite way so no chances you'll collide."
"Thanks Josh. Come on (Y/N), Matt."
Emily grabbed your hand and pulled you up. You could tell she wanted to get out of here as fast as she could. You let her pull you to the exit before slipping your hand out of hers. She went on without you.
"See you guys in a bit."
You said, waving. There was a chorus of "bye"s and "see you"s from the remaining four before you turned the corner and headed towards the door. Matt followed after you.
The corridors still felt as dark and cold as they had the year before and just a little while earlier.
This place is...really overwhelming this year.
