"Okay you two, your duet is seriously behind" Miss Kate said bringing me and Beth into her office, we had a stupid competition to attend this weekend and no matter how much I try, this girl just won't get it
"We're trying" I replied and she raised her eyebrows
"I don't get it, your duets are usually solid James, it's one of the reasons I agreed to Beth asking for you" She replied and I nodded
"Riley!" Miss Kate called, Riley came into the office leaving her conversation with Giselle
"Yeah?" She said smiling before her eyes set on Beth

"James and Beth have a duet competition this weekend, can you help them practice because right now it's a huge mess" Miss Kate said making Riley's eyes widen slightly
"I don't think I'm the right person for that job" Riley confessed, I know if I was in her shoes I wouldn't want to help
"nonsense, you're my Get-It-Done-Girl. You're perfect for the job! You three have studio A until A-Troupe Rehearsals were I'll then watch the routine to see if I'm cutting it or not" Miss Kate continued, ushering us out of the office before either Riley or Beth had a chance to say anything else

"So um, lets see what you have?" Riley asked awkwardly
"You think you can come in here and boss me around?" Beth said crossing her arms
"Beth cut it out and dance" I replied giving Riley the music
The routine started and by the second count of 8, Beth was off beat and lost in the routine
I sighed stopping continuing the routine until it happily came to an end
"Okay, I think I can see what the routine is meant to be. Say Beth, why don't you sit out and I'll show you what you are meant to be doing" Riley offered, I smirked a little at her
"Uh I don't think so" Beth grumbled
"Beth sit down before we lose this duet" James warned her 

"That was awesome! How did you pick it up that fast?!" I exclaimed as Riley hugged me at the end of the duet
"It was pretty easy" she smiled
"It wasn't that great" I hear Beth mutter behind us, Riley and I pull apart to see her stood there with her usual glare towards Riley
"Let's get your clued up on the choreo shall we Beth?" Riley offered before we heard another voice talk
"No need, After seeing that first run I've made a big decision" Miss Kate said making the three of us look over at her
"Beth, you're off the duet. Riley will take your place" Miss Kate continued making both Riley and I both widen our eyes, this was not going to go down well for anyone 

Riley excused herself to get a juice before A-Troupe practice and it's all good and well she did. Beth is pissed
"I told you from the moment she got here she is trying to take my spot everywhere!" Beth yelled and I rolled my eyes
"Beth! Listen to yourself! Your obsession with Riley has gone so far you are the reason your being replaced" I tried to explain
"We've been working on the duet for a month! A month that Riley hasn't even been here for might I add! And yet in one fail swoop she learnt the choreography without being taught it. Beth the problem isn't Riley, it's that you are incapable of focusing" I said getting a little annoyed

"So your siding with her now?" She spat at me causing me to groan
"You know what Beth Fuck it! I'm done!" I yelled causing her to look at me confused
"What do you mean, you are done?" she asked stepping closer trying to reach out for me, I shook my head stepping back
"With this, with us. It doesn't work, it's over" I replied dodging her grasp
"James don't do this!" Beth yelled after me
"It's done Beth! We're done!" I replied walking out of Studio A, a free man
