Waking up the following morning, I had nothing but a smile on my face, it was Saturday morning, we were in the middle of nowhere and I got to wake up with Riley in my arms. It's as if the world was finally right again
When we fell asleep, I know for a fact we weren't cuddling but I guess old habits die hard
"Good morning" Riley muttered rubbing her eyes before looking up at me
"Good morning" I said smiling down at her
She looked so sweet, so innocent, like nothing had ever hurt her
"Look at that" Riley said pointing down to our view as she quickly sat up
It was pretty, I'll give her that. But the view I woke up to was much more beautiful
"Ready for a day of exploring?" I smiled and Riley quickly nodded
Today was going to be a great day, I had everything planned out

We packed up the truck before heading out. We would be returning to this spot again but we didn't want to leave things behind for obvious reasons
"Where are we going?" Riley asked with her feet up on the dashboard
"Get your feet down misses" I scolded her making her roll her eyes
"We are going to Tiffany Falls" I smiled, Riley instantly smiled too
It was one of the places we had planned to go last time but due to Riley's bad directions we could thoroughly lost
"Really?" She asked like a little kid on Christmas morning
"really" I replied taking her hand in mine making her smile more
I know Riley wouldn't be ready for anything right now
And I respect that. I like how we are right now
But this is us without the distractions, without the influence of other people without the drama. This is what I wish could be a constant thing with us, but we are on A-Troupe. We are known for our drama

"Come on slowpoke!" Riley called practically running up the hike. I chuckled running after her, as soon as I got close enough I placed both my hand on my hips before throwing her over my shoulder as I continued to walk making Riley do a mixture of laughing and protesting
"you dick" She chuckled as I put her down, I rolled my eyes as we continued to walk hand in hand
"Woah" Riley breathed out as soon as we were at the top looking down at the waterfall
"Woah" I mimicked making her chuckle
"This was so much prettier than I thought it would be" She smiled taking my hand again as we walked down the rocks to reach the bottom of the waterfall
"I bet you wish you hadn't got us lost last time" I teased making her roll her eye

We continued to walk until we were at the base of the Waterfall, it was loud but at the same time it was extremely peaceful. It was that moment where you can just use all of your senses to appreciate all the nature around you, you can hear it, taste it, smell it, hear it and feel it. It was honestly so amazing
"come take a photo with me" Riley smiled taking out her phone. We had turned them back on but put them in Airplane mode so we could still take plenty of pictures.
We both realised my mother would have killed us both if we hadn't taken any
"Smile" she said poking my side causing me to laugh as she took the photo
"Don't start something you can't finish Ri" I said attempting to tickle her but she was a step ahead of me
"Look" Riley said pointing to an information board about the Waterfall. Trust her to make this trip educational
"Shall we walk across?" I asked Riley making her look away from the riveting information to then looking at the water filled walk way
"Our shoes will get soaked" Riley laughed looking over her shoulder at me
"We take them off dummy" I chuckled
"come on Ri, Live a little. How often do we get the chance to do this" I said making her smile again before biting her lip and taking her shoes off

We began a slow walk over the river and it was amazing, the cold water brushing against our feet, the sounds of the crashing water
"Careful" I chuckled seeing Riley almost slip, she glared turning back to me before continuing forward
I'm surprised this place isn't more busy today, it's a bright Sunny Saturday

"And there she goes" I laughed grabbing Riley's waist catching her as she fell
"I told you to be careful" I said looking down at Riley who was about an inch away from the water with nothing but my arm holding her up
"It's slippy" She said covering her face in embarrassment
"Yeah I'm sure it is" I smirked bringing her back up securely on her feet
I chuckle to myself as we continue on the small walk before safely on the other side
"See it wasn't that bad" I said making her roll hey eyes
"It was pretty great actually" Riley said smiling at me

Today was definetly something we both needed, we were driving back to our spot blasting music, Riley had her feet out the window, she was drying them off apparently. She had our hands intertwined as we drove. It was just like old times
"Do you know what I remember about our old trips" Riley said looking over at me
"What's that?" I asked
"The smores" She said with glee in her tone, I chuckled
"Well I have the stuff for them" I said motioning behind us
"no way?! Why didn't we do it last night?" She whined making me laugh
"We were both tired, you forget we were up till 3am the night before" I said squeezing her hand
"Can we make them tonight?" She asked and I nodded
"It's our final night here, of course we can" I smiled glancing over at her seeing her with a smile on her face now a days hit different but I wouldn't change it for a second
