Jade's POV

It has been two weeks since Scarlett and I started filming the documentary and I was really glad with what we have so far. I contacted a few media companies about the idea and I had two who genuinely seemed interested. I will probably publish it on VICE and YouTube.

I've also gotten pretty close to Lizzie in these past weeks. We've already been on an official date, so things are moving in the right direction. We planned another date for tomorrow morning at a bakery, where we'll bake our cake to take home.

Today I decided to start editing the documentary. I already had all the footage I needed to at least get started on the first minutes of the documentary. I grabbed my laptop and opened Premiere Pro.

As I was about to get started, I heard a knock at my door. I put down the laptop and walked to the door. As I opened it, I saw a sombre-looking Scarlett standing in front of me.

"Oh, hey Scar. What brings you here?" I asked with sincere confusion. This is only the second time she's been at my house.

"Hi, Jade. Colin and I got into an argument and I had to get out of the house for a bit. I didn't really know where else to go." She said while avoiding eye contact. I stepped aside so she could walk inside.

"You're always welcome at my home." I said as we walked back inside and towards the couch. "Do you want to talk about what happened?" I asked her. She shook her head. "No, not yet. Maybe a bit later."

I nodded in understanding and walked towards the kitchen. "Wine?" I asked her. "Yes, please." She said with a light chuckle. I smiled in response and poured us both a glass. I walked back over to the couch and sat down, handing her a glass.

"I was about to start editing the documentary." I told her while pointing at my laptop that sat between us. "If you want to take a look at it together we can do that"

She nodded her head. "That would be great. I'll just watch you work though, I have no clue how editing works." She joked as she took a sip of her wine. I was glad she was a little happier than earlier. I smiled at her and put the laptop on my lap.

"I'll probably only be able to edit the first ten minutes of the documentary with the footage we have so far." I explained to her as I imported all the video files into the project.

"That's already a lot, considering not too much has happened yet." She responds. I smiled. "Maybe in your eyes not a lot has happened, but I have a lot of useful material." I told her with a reassuring smile.

She nodded in response and I got back to work. She turned on the TV and we sat there for about an hour, sipping wine throughout that time. I decided I did enough editing for the night and put my laptop away.

I looked over to Scarlett and noticed she had fallen asleep with her wine glass still in her hand. I chuckled and took the glass out of her hand, putting it on the coffee table.

I grabbed Scarlett bridal style and walked over to the guest room. I laid her down on the bed gently before putting the covers over her. She slightly stirred and opened her eyes a little. She moved to grab my hand, stopping me from walking to my room.

"Please stay" she said in a tired voice. I sighed, knowing I couldn't say no to her. I got changed and laid down next to her, noticing she was already fast asleep.

I took in her features a little before closing my eyes too. Falling asleep not long after she did.

I woke up early the next morning with a heavy feeling on my chest. I furrowed my brows as I glanced down. I quickly smiled realizing Scarlett was asleep with her head on my chest and her arm draped around me.

I laid still for about ten minutes before carefully getting out from under her. I glanced back at her and took note of how peaceful she looked. I walked downstairs and started preparing breakfast. I still had two hours before I had to leave for my date with Lizzie.

After about 20 minutes I heard Scarlett coming into the kitchen. I looked up from the stove and took a moment to take her in. I smiled at her as she went to sit on a barstool. "Good morning." I said. "Morning." She greeted back.

"I have to leave in about an hour and a half, but you can stay here if you want." I told her. "Where are you going?" she asked with an eyebrow raised. I smiled at her confused look. We didn't have any filming planned.

"I'm meeting up with Lizzie at a bakery nearby." I told her. If her eyebrow could reach any higher, I'm sure it would be right now. "Like a date?" She asked. I chuckled at her curiosity.

"Yes, like a date. Is that a hint of jealousy I'm sensing?" I smirked at her with a wink. "No, of course not! I'm just curious." She said while suddenly focusing all her attention on her plate of scrambled eggs. "I have to go home anyway. I want to make things right with Colin." She said, finally looking up at me.

I nodded and went to get ready for my date as Scarlett was getting ready to go home.
